I'm a HUGE University of Oklahoma fan! BOOMER SOONER!

 

One of my sisters went to TX, another went to A&M, and the other one went to TX Tech. It's kind of funny because people would call us the sister of the Big 12. We are all enormous football fans, so needless to say, everyone's dukes are out during football season. Especially since there are such big rivalries between all of them.

 

My all time favorite time is the OU/TX game in October. It's called the Red River Rivalry (used to be Shootout). Each school is 3 hours from Dallas, and both teams meet there to play at the Cotton Bowl. The fans are split up exactly on the 50 yard line so half of the stadium is all red and the other is all orange. There's this electricity in the air that I've never experienced at ANY other game! It's amazing!!!

 

It's also at the State Fair of Texas. Everybody's chowing down on Fletchers Corny Dogs and pounding overpriced beer between the extensive trash talking. So so so so fun!!!! There's really nothing like it.

 

I haven't missed a game in 10 years. I was at OU for 4 1/2 sememsters, and the 5 football season I was a student, we beat TX every time! I can't wait!!!

I am also an Ohio State alum ('02)- GO BUCKEYES!

 

Now live in Chicago, but there are so many "Ohio State Bars" that I never feel like I am too far away on game day!

 

Can't wait for the USC game. My best friend is getting married that day & they rented 2 large plasmas for the reception wink.gif

I LOVE that idea! That is so something I would do especially if we were getting married on a USC vs. UCLA game day! My FI is a UCLA Bruin and I'm a USC Trojan, so you can only imagine how those sports conversations go . . . fencing.gif

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
