My FI and I have decided on Costa Rica for our honeymoon but I'm nervous about picking a hotel. I don't know anything about them except a few travel reviews posted on the hotels website. Anyone ever been to Tamarindo? My FI likes this place. Help I need tons of advise!

I have not spent time in Tamarindo but I was in Manuel Antonio and surrounding area last year and we stayed at three different places just for fun. They were all amazing in a different way.

Here are the sites. The first is a little B&B called Mango moon. There were some people on honeymoon here. So super cute and lovely. Not super glam.

If you want some adventure and love the outdoors stay at Rafiki safari. It's an eco lodge and we both absolutely loved it. Rafiki Safari Lodge, Costa Rica - White water Rafting, Hiking, Birding, and Horseback Riding in the Rainforest! It's amazing.

Then we finished our trip off at a luxury hotel after all our adventure. We were sore and relaxed here.. Manuel Antonio Costa Rica Hotels, Resorts, Quepos - Hotel LaMansionInn We got a good deal cause it was low season. luxury...

Costa Rica is beautiful!!!!

We were going to go to Tamarindo for our honeymoon too for the surfing but I can't seem to find any flights that go direct to Costa Rica from Cancun Mexico. Everything seem to be a total of 14 hour traveling time or more. Here is a place that we were thinking about.

And here is a good link to find surfing places in Costa Rica.

14hr plane ride cja? I'm not sure if I would be able to handle that. Our wedding is in Key West so we'll just drive home a day or two after the wedding (only 4 hrs) and fly to costa rica from Ft.Lauderdale. I think the flights just over 3hrs. The hotel you picked is really nice and an all-inclusive! I haven't seen a lot of all inclusives in Costa Rica.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
