PR Bride here!!! I'm planning on taking a cruise from PR after the wedding. Things are a little confusing right now so I wanted to know if anyone is planning a Sunrise Ceremony with a Wedding Brunch...that's what I'm planning and need some help!

The cruise wedding options in terms of a reception just seem real cheesy to me...I don't want my guest to come so far and not feel satisfied by the reception. We will be cruising on Carnival Victory just like you did...we invited our guest to join us...we don't think many will but is in an option for them

Have you looked around at other places?
I completely agree with you. They want alot of money for little service.

I'm looking in El Convento and Condado right now. I'm waiting to hear from their WCs.

Hi Ladies... I know the posts haven't come in a long time...but help would be awesome!

So I'm a very new PR Bride, and have to admit I'm a little freaked out.  We chose PR b/c my groom and I are both Ecuadorian and he has a lot of family/friends still in Ecuador so he wanted to find a place that was somewhat convenient for them to travel to and still had that spanish flare that we both want in a wedding.  I also Love the Island feel and want to do a beach ceremony if possible, but got to admit that never having been there, and not really knowing how things really look/vs. the pictures on their website makes planning a little freaky.  Our budget is slim so our first choice the El Conquistador is out.  Any suggestions on other nice places.  We were thinking of not doing San Juan, just to get away from the down town area...but not reconsidering.

Some of the places we've looked at:

Gran Melia Rio Grande, which seems to be our front runner right now... any reviews?

La Concha, love the look of the hotel but they haven't gotten back to us on prices yet, any reviews?

any other suggestions?

suggestions as to coordinators, photographers, decorators, florists, and bakeries would be awesome too.  I was trying to look through all the posts to find some...

Thanks so much!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
