Re-Engagement?

lol Aww! Those are so cute! Marc did say some really sweet stuff when he got down on one knee (after I begged him, oops?) and that's what I remember the most :) I'm forgetting the (sad) tears and the confusion and I'm going to remember the sweetest part, and that will be my engagement story ^_^

lol. Our engagement was NOTHING like I had hoped, dreamed or imagined.

We were both drunk and he had just picked up the ring that day and couldn't contain himself.

I don't even remember him proposing b/c I was drunk. I woke up with the ring on my finger and looked over at him and was like "what is this?" He couldn't believe I didn't remember. I was sssooo upset that he proposed -- the one thing I had been waiting for my entire life -- and I didn't even remember it.

I made him do a "do-over." So, the next night, he re-did everything just as he had the night before (except he says he can't remember all the sweet things he said, which sucks).

So, trust me, they are definitely NOT what most of us wanted -- BUT it definitely makes for a great story down the road...

I was pretty buzzed during his proposal too. We were in Ft Lauderdale and it was the last night before we went home. I love the beach and the ocean and FI really wanted to propose on the beach all romantic like.

Well that's not how it happened! We had spent the night out, I was pretty buzzed and FI said he wanted to go sit on the beach. It was dark, I was drunk, we couldn't find the beach. So we sat on some random bench. FI starts saying all the mushy stuff, and I'm just like whatever, he's just being mushy. Then the next thing I know he's on one knee! I start laughing my ass off saying "are you serious?!" he's like "uh yeah will you" pretty romantic hu?

Oh, and later that night I puked my brains out. Turns out my dinner had touched shrimp... which make me crazy sick. So my new FI is in a hotel bathroom holding my hair back, as puking, and sobbing because I'm puking on the night we got engaged.

so definitely the perfect proposal evening!!! but it makes it unique, and ours. that's what matters.

Every engagement is differnet. I was 7 months pregnant and my now husband came home walked in the door got down and one knee and that was that. No fancy meal, no nothing. I was in PJs and I think I side, jesus, about time.lol Not really a "picture perfect" story. My sisters now husband walked in and handed her the box and said here it is.lol So I think as long as you love each other thats what matters, and personally a re-engagement sounds kinda wack to me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
