Hi Guys so I have a date to go BM dress shopping with my sister in law. I have 6 0r 7 BM's right now. So my question is did you pay for their dresses? I wish I didn't ask so many girls then I would have. Or if you didn't pay how much is too much? I have been in all of their weddings and have spent around $800 but I didn't have to travel. What are your thoughts on price?

Have you considered chipping in towards their dress? You can always tell them you will pay the first $50 or $100 towards the dress. Or offer to buy the shoes or accessories or something. I am paying for my BMs dresses but I only have 2 and we set a $100 limit (they are picking their own).

In my frugal opinion, I think they shouldnt have to pay more than $150 for a dress they probably wont wear again. Just my opinion!

or you could find a dress that they all love and that you love too. my bridesmaid randomly found one they love (for buying more than 1 at a time they get a 20% discount but the dress is still $181). they all love it and are excited to wear it so there hasn't been any comments about having to buy it themselves. i was going to pay for half possibly but then i decided i want them to wear a gorgeous brooch on a section of the dress that is plainer so i'm going to buy them brooches instead. one of my bridesmaids loves the dress so much that she is chomping at the bit to get hers ordered so she can wear it this year to her Christmas party. lol

So, i guess IMHO if you find one they totally love, pay nothing and buy them a cool gift or if they all hate it then maybe chip in a little to help pay. All of my girls want to wear it to multiple functions they've already planned on.

My BMs dresses were $135 and I had them only give me $110 since I bought all the dresses for them. So I gave them $25 towards the dress. I'm not able to help pay for the trip but if they needed help, I'd find the money somehow to get them there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
