Valentin Imperial Maya Brides?

Recommended Posts

I was told that even if you bring in an outside photographer, so can't trade in the photographer from the wedding package for something else. So I guess I will be using their photographer and the Claudia Rodriguez. She has been review a lot on this site. I am really excited about using her!

Not so excited about Swine Flu, anyone other June brides kinda panicking?

i am very concerned and my wedding is not until November, so i understand why you are nervous, I would be even more nervouse if it it was closer. But i have to say that everthing i have heard was that it was in mexico city. i havent heard anything about the coastline areas, plus you have a little over a month for this to get cleared up and they seem to be acting very fast.this could be cleared up in a week or two, i think we should stay positive. at this point theres nothing we can do anyway except worry which is not going to help any.

Hey everyone,

I'm getting the unforgettable package also, we are bringing in Del Sol photograpy so does that mean we also get the resorts photographer? The package does say it includes photos. We were origanally going with moments that matter for the wedding and del sol for the ttd photos but fiance didn't book in time and now moments that matter are booked for out date. I think he did it on purpose because he wanted del sol all along!!

My TA emaild the resort and got this response. The recepition can be held at an area outside the mexican, italian, or lobster pot for no additional fees. This means that you will not be in the actual restaurant with the rest of the diners. I saw all three of the locations when I went on my site visit and they are all very nice. I'm inbetween the mexican and lobster pot venues.

Any June brides rethinking their Valentin planshuh.gif I am planning to hold out until it is close to my date June 11, but I have started looking at some other options. I looked at the other Valentin hotels and most are in Spain-we are not looking to go that far! Anyway, just taking it day by day and hoping things calm down in the next couple of weeks.

hi ladies,

i can certainly understand your concerns. i'm getting questions all the time from my family and friends now about whether we are still having the wedding in mexico, even though our wedding isn't until december. here is what i have been sharing with them to try to put their minds at ease.

-put it in perspective: the u.s. is a country of 300 million people and mexico has a population of 109 million. 141 U.S. cases of H1N1 flu and ~1000 mexican cases (although bad) in my mind do not make for a "pandemic"

-36,000 people a year in the U.S. die from the REGULAR FLU. so far no americans have died from h1n1 and only one mexican national who crossed over the border to get u.s. med treatment died here

-the flu "outbreak" is centered in mexico city, not the yucatan peninsula

now all that said, you have to do what makes you feel comfortable. if you chose to move your wedding to jamaica, i lived there for 2 years and would be happy to share/answer whatever questions i can.

good luck

jlrjen

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
