I am trying to decide between Dreams Tulum and Dreams Riviera Cancun, what made you all decide to go with Dreams Tulum?? Any of your thoughts would be great i keep going back and forth and im starting to drive myself crazy and i haven't even started planning!! Thanks

Hi Ariane and Congratulations! We spent a couple months going through resorts but here are the main factors that made us choose DT. Location, like another bride said, further away from the hustle and bustle of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. We wanted a more intimate location...smaller resort. I have heard that the beach around Dreams Cancun is not as private. The other thing,..golf course..my Fiance is from Scotland so his family really wanted to be at or near a golf course...I don't really care:) I also read better reviews and our TA recommended it over DC.

Good luck with your decision!

Our photographer cost $2,000.  Thats included 5 hours of work and a delivery of the disc, and their amazing work that they did! I can honestly say that was probably the best thing i did! I ended up giving my resort photographer to my sis and her fiance to do some engagement photos together and those were good too, but La Luna is AMAZING. There was a huge difference between the two!

Well as most of you brides have noticed they do charge extra for even the littlest thing to be different about the decorations, but for ALL of our decor they charged only $150 for them to do it. Just go ahead and budget it in, thats the last thing you need to stress about on your wedding day. Whats $150 when your paying thousands cheaper for a wedding?!?

Hi Curtney,

I haven't taken a look at your photos but I will be sure to do so. Can you tell me what the 150$ included? Which wedding package did you get? We are marked down for the Dreams of Love package but now we are considering changing to the Ultimate package.

Thanks!

Hi Curtney,

I also love your set up it looks beatiful and your photos are simple stunning you must be so pleased!!!  I have emailed the WC to see how much they will charge. Did you have to pay extra for the chairs as well??

Also did you bring your own lanterns? Were they battery operated ones?

We did bring our own laterns, i think between 20-30? cannot remember, we bought a few light battery things i think only 20, and we did pay extra for the chairs, i really didnt like the ones where the fabric dances in the wind, lol. so i splurged there for better pics:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
