The new Dreams Tulum thread! (Post all DT Qs&As here)

Recommended Posts

from what I've seen on the Dreams website, the baby sea turtle release is done from the pacific side, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta.

As for cupcakes, I just wrote on here a couple days ago.....they don't do them. I've read about a cafe called Turtle Bay Cafe which will deliver and does do cupcakes. I'm currently trying to find out how much that would be!

Hey girls, I was wondering if anyone had the new 2011 wedding guide.  I just wanted to check it out and see what the differences are from what I'm using when I booked and thought I'd check here before emailing Aurora, knowing my luck she'll try to raise the price on me.

If you manage to get your hands on it, do you mind passing it to me as well?  In every email, Landy has been sure to mention that the rates are for 2010 and may go up in 2011 which leaves me thinking that they WILL go up.  Small differences I can live with, but it would be nice to not have to wonder!  I'll let you know if I come across the info as well :)

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one wanting cupcakes....I was so disappointed when they said they couldn't do them, b/c I'm pretty sure I read on one of the other dreams resorts threads that someone had cupcakes, and it was done by the resort! I'll keep you posted when I hear back from turtle bay....if it's too much we may just stick with the cake, since its part of the package. I couldn't tell you for sure, but since it would be just a delivery of the cupcakes, I wouldn't think it would be another outside vendor fee....but then they really nickel and dime you, so i could be completely off base!

we've potentially just hired a photographer.....our photographer here in Halifax who is doing our engagement photos, just happens to be heading down to cancun for the month of Feb. So we're keeping our fingers crossed that it all works out! Who did you hire?

What is everyone doing for flowers?  Using the flowers from the resort or ordering elsewhere?  Trying to decide if we should use the flowers from the resort since they are offered in the packages or order somewhere else or do real touch flowers???? Decisions decisions!!

I ordered real touch flowers from Angels Accents.  I got all my bouquets, bouts, and extra flowers for decor from her.  I will still use the flower arrangements that come with my package and will use the bouquet the resort provides as my toss bouquet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
