Dreams Cancun Hair And Makeup

Recommended Posts

Not sure if Im posting in the right place, but does anyone have a recommendation for a good hairdresser and makeup artist at the Dreams Cancun Resort? Dreams rant.gif just told me to email them...rant.gif

Although I am a makeup artist I would love for someone to do my makeup and if I dont like it I can just fix it up myself

i moved your post into the appropriate forum. please be conscious of where you are posting things. if it's hotel specific, put it there, if it's not, then its ok to post in the general sub-forums.

i think most people have said hair was good but makeup was bad (i could be wrong). if you're a makeup artist you'll probably want to do your own. i'm not a makeup artist, but i AM an artist by profession ... and i never like how anyone else does my makeup!

oh hey, damn it, i was originally going for the same date as you ... we could have done each other's makeup, haha! LMAO

I would definitely ask for Christian, he's fantastic!

As for the makeup, I brought pictures of what I wanted for makeup, he did a great job, but bring your own makeup, because the stuff they had there was pretty disgusting. Oh and I wouldn't let the do your lipstick, they put pink lipstick on me with brown lipline,YUCK! I immediately took that off! but the rest was good, I thought, better than I could have done myself.

hey cancunbride -I'm a MUA too! My personal opinion would be to do own makeup and have them do your hair.....here's a question -the ultimate package has hair & makeup application included. I wonder if you opted out of the makeup you could substitute a hair tiral. just a thought.

that's a great idea and definitely worth a shot! (can't hurt to ask!) besides, then we'd all have the chance to stand in the gazebo and see how it holds up with the wind!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
