Also, How is it possible to cut your prices by 80% and maintain the same quality of food, liquor, and staff.

The only thing keeping me going is that we are getting married the day after Thanksgiving which is historically very quiet in this area.
    Ash,

I agree about the class of people that might be there now. Also, I verified with the resort this morning that they still had the availability for at least 25 rooms. I called in as if I were booking a new wedding and they quoted me the special rates. My TA then told me that they are doing it to sell the last few rooms. We feel like we are being duped here. Were you able to get anywhere with them? When is your wedding?

Well, here's the scoop. They gave me two options. Keep my existing rates which give me about 60 amenities or think of it as couples massages for every one of my guests and about $8000 of wine credits.

Option 2 is to take the lower rates. For my 30 guests it seems like this will reduce our room rate by about $5,000.

The wine is marked up ridiculous. All of my guests are foodies and wine snobs so I can't cheap out in that department. So, I think I am going to risk it and take the cheaper rates and hope for less wine consumption. If I order less than $5k I've saved money.

That is crap about the last rooms though. When I booked in July they claimed only 5 adults only jacuzzi juniors were left. Well, guess what, there are tons now!

Uggh. This is getting difficult. I wish I never had looked at the price reductions. I think it was those chair bows that put me over the edge!

Katie - My photog is still available for you! No travel fees, no $500 fee to Karisma :) You are reaping all the benefits, just thought I'd let you know
        Thanks Kitten :)

We're looking at the moment if we can downgrade our package - as it stands we paid £1000 extra for the gold package which we thought would be worth it for the photogrpaher included and blood tests etc. But even using one of the approved photographers, we apparently only get them for 1 hour (!!!) and just photos, even though the photog packages start at 1 and a half hours and include a 30 min video too - for less than we'd be paying the extra for for the gold package.

Just trying to work out what we'd have to pay extra on top of the silver package to see which works out more financially viable!

But I will definitely get in contact with him and ask about packages and prices etc. :o)

is he doing a TTD for you too? I REALLY want one done!!

Oh and can you PM me your name so I can let him know who I am and that i'm contacting in relation to you!!

        Thank you :o)

        Katie.

            Hi ladies,

Now I'm in panic mode we paid approximately $4000 for 7 night in premium swim-up. I immediately called my travel agent to discuss this discrepancy. This is ridiculous. Now we have to weigh our options because we have resort credits from being moved from Azul Fives to Sensatori in addition to the all about the bride promotion. But this is also unfair to our guests.

Do you mind telling me who you spoke with at the resort that is giving you these options? I won't mention your name, but I want to give that name to my travel agent to see if we can get the same options.

I am in the swim up swim next to my guests for 4 nights and then move to the Honeymoon suite on my wedding day for 3 nights and for the two of us I am paying $2,000 which includes tax and transfers.

For 3 nights in the Jr. Swim Up suite we were quoted $887 for 3 nights and $1170 for 4 nights. We are going during high season in Feb. so we expected rates to be a little higher. For the Jr. Jacuzzi suite ( no swim up) we are quoted $775 for 3 nights and $1010 for 4 nights.
My FI and I decided to stay in the Premium Jacuzzi Swim up Suite and it came out to be $2125 per person for 7 days. All taxes and transfers are included in all the prices as well.

I decided to go with the lower rates. My guest are extending their reservations lot and I just didn't feel good about passing higher rates on to them. We decided to change most of our rooms to premiums. They are only $304 a night now for 2 people.

My reservation person at Karisma is Catherine, but she can't do anything. However....the manager that makes all of the decisions is Alberto Fernandez. I would give your TA his name. Your TA may be hesitant to make the changes though because she will lose her 10% commission I bet.

So, let's start a new happy discussion! Who is working on welcome bags for their guests, and what are you putting in them? I've got a list of about 15 things so far but need to narrow them down and get a move on!

                      Ash,

                      When is your wedding again?

I really want to do welcome bags but not really sure what to put in them. I have a few ideas but would love to see what everyone else is thinking too.
