I was planning on doing the same thing with the letter, I would ask your coordinator and I'm sure the onsite would be happy to accomodate.

Just my thoughts :)
I think it is $5 per room. We asked our travel agent representative who was doing the transfers from the airport to our hotel for our guests (American Express) to give us a list each day with the arrival times of our guests. The AMEX guy has a desk in the lobby of the hotel.

We then met our guests (all 59 of them) in the lobby to greet them with their welcome bags. It was really fun to see everyone as they arrived and many guests commented on how nice it was for us to welcome them personally.

On Trip Advisor a few people have complained about check-in and the staff being rude at the front desk. I promise if the bride and groom walk the guests over to the front desk for check in, there is no chance they'll be rude. We didn't experience this at all and it was great to make a nice first impression for our destination wedding with our guests.

I just want to get the photog sorted and no idea what to do. It is way too expensive to bring a photog from UK and then pay the fee too. I am kinda just hoping they sort out the approved ones before I go so I have more chioce!

have any of you girls coming from UK booked the Silver package? I am only just starting to realise how little it includes!
Hey Gemma :) another Uk bride!!

I booked the gold package, and am already realising how little THAT includes, as well as the added problem of the photographers - our gold package includes our photographer...tho looking at who's approved that doesn't look like such a good thing anymore sad.gif now, if we want a good photog, we're going to have to effectively pay twice for one. we're looking into the pros and cons of trying to downgrade our package.

what are you having problems with?

how many have you got going?

Katie.

Hi MrsVaughn

If you want your guests to book the hotel through a TA aswell, it has to be Thomson (or First Choice, who have been taken over by Thomson) as the resort is available only exclusively to them. (Thomson - Holidays, Flights, Hotels, Cruises - Find your perfect holiday - Thomson.co.uk)

If not, they would be able to buy flights seperately and then book with the hotel directly.

If you want more info on possibles to book flights with, let me know and I'll get a list together for you and get back to you.

Good luck!!

Katie.

What do people think of these pics?? I'm not too sure about them, but can't put my finger on why...

Are these the only approved photographers for AS?? if not, who are the other ones? and does anybody have a link for egs of their photography?

Thanks :o)

Katie.
Hi Katie,

I've just got married at AS and returned home to Glasgow, I read your message re: the photographers and your concerns about them, I used the photographer included with my package from Thomsons which is the one approved by the hotel. I know that this is such a huge thing and so very difficult to pick when your on the other side of the world, I found my photographer to be very professional and made me feel very at ease and comfortable. I'd be happy to email you some of my pics for you to look at but would need to do it through my hotmail account, not too sure how all of this works at the minute!!! Let me know if this would help

Hi Francine,

Thank you so much for the offer - I have sent you a private message (I did try to send an email but im not sure if it worked - so apologies if you've received loads of stuff from me!!!)

Glad to hear of a happy story re: photogs.

Did you have the Caribe photog? or was it another one? the approved ones seem to change monthly!

Hope you had a fantastic wedding, and thanks again for your help :)

Katie.

Hi Francine,
I am also a UK bride and am having concerns about the photog. Did you use Caribe? Could you also send me some examples and it might make my decision slightly easier.
PM me and I will send you my address.
Thanks so muck
Gemma

Hi Katie,
We originally went in to book the gold package and i changed my mind at the last min. I am quite glad I did now although it still doesn't help the situation with photog much!
I stupidly assumed that the decoration of the gazeebo was included (seen as it says "decoration of wedding location") but that is like another £250ish! I am thinking of taking my own organza as I cover wedding chair covers as a part time job now so should work out alot cheaper.
The bouquet is also going to cost alot more than the package allows!
We only have 22 going at the moment including us 2 so quite small. We wanted an easy option instead of all the fuss of a typical UK wedding! We also only gave guest 2 weeks notice to book and we only booked in Jan this year!
How you getting on? have you decided on receptions and things yet? We get the dinner res for 40 i think at spoon. Not ideal but not too bothered about spending the extra for a private party when I am having a massive party when we are back home.

Katken -

That's a great idea!! I'm totally going to greet all my guests, I will create a spreadsheet I think for guest arrival date and times and greet them when they arrive :)

    • OMG these are incredible! Seriously blown away by the thoughtful detail you have put into every aspect of your gifts, your guests are going to be amazed! Props to you for adding so many personal touches and putting in so much time to make these gifts amazing!
    • These bags are amazing!! You are so organized and detailed, I am so impressed! I LOVE the Vistaprint stuff you ordered, the logo is so cute, I love your personalization!
    • I love etsy!! It's a great place to find personalized gifts without such a hefty price tag. I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids personalized necklaces with their names on them. I found these ones that are affordable and you can pick the chain length and different fonts, so you can really make them your own and pick what you know each bridesmaid will want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/595334072/personalized-name-necklace-stainless?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=personalized necklace&ref=sc_gallery-3-9&plkey=a8662525c53ec285c1b46b0f308162d0591edff8:595334072
    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
