One question right now.....for those of you who have already gotten married have any of you done the LED throwies??

my question is, do they actually tape them all together and string to the lanterns at the resort or do we need to do that??  also, did you do it with the plastic piece for on/off??

That looks gorgeous! I'm thinking of doing the whole "less is more" since all the other decor gives it a nice touch. How was it having the 11 pm curfew on the event? I am assuming you had the reception at Zavaz plaza..?

Thanks!

For the flameless candles....maybe use electric tape to attach it to string and then hang them upside down into the middle?

I think instead of big floral centerpieces we are going to do ome nicely framed menus and table numbers. Go minimalist since I want to use the money we would have spent on centerpieces elsewhere

When I researched bringing out own material for the 12 Meters by 1.5 It was honestly the same price or close to just renting them from Azul. I was a bit pissed at the $150 a sheet price but in the end for the ease of it I just rented them.

HA I can't take the credit for that table. that was another brides. I am just going to try to recreate it :) My wedding isn't till May. I did find out that the table runners are $7 a piece to rent if that helps. I am still waiting on a price for the vases

We did the LED throwies. Super simple to make, we made them all at home with the plastic tab. Essentially it was the battery, 3 LED lights, plastic between the contacts and battery, tape to hold together.  To make sure the connection didn't loosen after the tab got pulled we bought those metal paper clamps (at Staples) to hold everything together. We also tied the string to the metal clamp. Then all the wedding coordinators had to do, was pull the tab and hang inside the latern.

I have been to Mexico in November before. It is just the tail end of their rainy season, so you might have half hour rain showers on occasion. Temperatures would range 23C-28C.

I think you're refering to my table setup...thank you! The reception was at Zavas Plaza. The 11pm curfew was no problem for us. We started at 6pm and they slowly closed up around 10pm, but we just moved the party to the 'coffee hut' and kept partying. The 'coffee hut' is at the bottom of the huge stairs, and is a large covered gazebo with lots of couches, swinging beds, chairs, tables. Plus we just ran up the stairs for drinks at the Mojoito lounge, and  one of the waiters realized how many of us there were, he just started to come down and take drink orders for us! It was awesome :)

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
    • So we are currently looking for an all inclusive resort for the wedding. We have 60 guests and found all the Dreams resorts as options and all of them gave us a quote and discounted price since it’s off season etc. Resorts in Punta Canta gave us a reasonable price, Dominicus gave us a really good deal then La Romana Resort and Spa gave us their regular price and so hard to negotiate. Will someone tell us how special is this resort that they won’t give us a good discount when all my guests are staying in their resort for 5-8 days. We are bringing $$$ in their resort and not give us a discount?  What is so special with this resort?  Can somebody recommend a beautiful resort?
