    Hey girls,

I wanted to tell you about a fabulous place that I checked out a couple of weeks ago. It is called Ocean Lodge, and it is on St. Simons Island, GA.

They can accommodate intimate ceremonies up to 325 guests.

This is not for those who are looking for a large all inclusive resort - it is for those who are looking for an exclusive, boutique hotel experience.

Julie is the person you would speak to about weddings.
Her phone number is 912-638-2100 and her email is julie at oceanlodgessi.com.

You can see lots more about Ocean Lodge (and photos!) on my blog:

            Great location!

I had a friend get married on SSI, though not there.

OK, for some reason the link won't take you to her page. It's the 2007 issue, page 34 "Vows with a View"

I pulled it up - and for those who might look - it came up as page 37 on my computer. :)

St. Simons is a beautiful place. In fact, I am on St. Simons this weekend to photograph a wedding. I'll be sure to make a new post about it when I get home.

I am finally making it back to post about the wedding I mentioned above. Although I will be photographing a wedding at Ocean Lodge in the fall - the wedding linked to below is at Epworth by the Sea. It was a destination wedding for Mary and Josh.

Thanks for posting the photos. I was in the Brunswick area in October and visited St Simon and Jekyll Island. I was curious what the weddings were like there and what experiences people had with having their ceremonies there.

The King and Prince is another good place if you are interested in beachfront.

                    :)
