We're getting married here in July of 2010! So far I've loved the quick communication with the wedding coordinator! I find she is very helpful at clairifying my questions! I'm getting really pumped and excited! Right now, we're looking into an excursion for our whole group, making music choices, ordering wedding bands and trying to determine what centrepieces and decorations are included in our package...we got the Blissful love one! Would love to talk with our brides at the GBP! :)

I just heard they have another wedding coordinator. Its no longer Cinthya, but Gleny Nunez. They sure go through a lot of coordinators. We aren't getting married until April 2010 but are reconfirming everything with her to make sure all our previous plans ahve been documented!

We were married there on November 16, 2009 and everythign was perfect! Don't worry about the wedding co-ordinators. The entire time I was plannign the wedding I had dealt with Cinthya, but when we got there I dealt the entire time with Patricia, who is AMAZING!!! She was an absolute dream-come-true, and was there for us the entire week.

We had 36 people with us, booked the Sunshien package for $1350 US,(that's all you need), private reception at Garden Grill $750US, 3 piece trip at ceremony only $150US, flowers for girls, guys, corsages, etc. $300US.
Don't worry about bringing extra decorations, centrepieces, etc. You are just cerating wayyy more work for yourself that is completely unecessary. They decorate everything in the colours, flowers that you choose, and the Garden Grille restaurant was decorated beautifully. I didn't bring a single thing other than the ring bearer shell. They even provided the flower girl basket and decorated it with my choice of flowers for free, with rose petals.
Believe me, I know the stress and the worrying you guys are doing right now planning a wedding so far away, but seriously....You do not have to worry. They look after everything for you and they try so hard to accomodate every one of your wishes.
I absolutely loved this place, all of our guests adored it, and I would recommend any couple choose it for their wedding!!

If you have any questions, I love talking about this stuff!! We have our at-home reception this Saturday night, then I will be in withdrawal from no more wedding stuffsad.gif

Thank you for the reassurance Tasha! My fiance and I are getting married at the Gran Bahia on April 22, 2010 with 45 family and friends beside us. I was a little concerned about the change in the Wedding Coordinator as i have been dealing with Cinthya the whole time. Gleny seems to be great in responding to my emails which is a relief. Did you use the photographer at the resort? I'm trying to choose one and am tossed up between Michael Weiler or Arrencife (on location). Any suggestions?

We are having a private reception on the Piscis Terrace - and also paying for bar service for the last couple of hours, as we want our reception to go until 12pm.

Thanks again for your post - its so reassuring to hear great things from experienced brides!!

Hi everyone, We're getting married on June 19th 2010 @ the garden grill. I was worried when I first heard cinthya wasn't there but I see everything went well for you Tasha: )
I did have some questions.
1. Did everyone stay in the same building as you?
2. How was the food?
3. What kind of alcohol did they serve as part of the package. We are having the Unforgettable package but torn in the open bar option?
4. How was the cake?
5. Did she help you with any rehearsal stuff?
Any info would be a great help : )
Thanks Melissa shots.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
