Did everyone choose their flowers before the wedding? My coordinator (Victoria) has sent me an email with an attachment with examples of bouquets but I wasn't sure if this meant I needed to choose a bouquet now or if she was just showing me examples.

I told my wedding coordinator which ones out of the pictures that I liked and might want similar, but I haven't picked any exact flowers. I go to the resort in 5 days and we haven't even discussed bridesmaid flowers or centerpieces.

I think most of it gets sorted out once we get there.

780chick - Awesome review (yes long) but well worth the read! Sounds like you had a fabulous time. Your TTD pictures are neat! We're going to the same resort, the barcelo maya palace as our day is August 4th. I'm in Calgary near you. I would like to get some more ideas from you if your up for it. I had some queries and with your day being similar to mine, thought one bride to another we could chat. My email is coraliep@me.com. Look forwarding to chatting with you. :-)

We just recently got our pictures on a disk, we have been crazy busy but I know there are some of the reception setup. I will find them and post them soon.

Our wedding was a lot smaller than a lot on here (just about 20 of us), so will give you brides that are having a small wedding some ideas.

Flowers: Print a picture of exactly what you want and they'll do it. It doesn't have to be anything in the book they give you. Just make sure you get pricing first. if the flowers are not native, you will pay significantly more.

    • Go for the third one. It is gorgeous and you will look stunning in that. I'm sure you will be noticed by other people. Go for it.
    • I would suggest the long one. You will look stunning in that. It is simple and elegant.
    • Both the gown are awesome and I'm sure you will look gorgeous in both. But I would suggest the first one. Go for it and Congratulations for your marriage.
    • Hello everyone,  I am still engaged, still not planning the big day, because we haven't chosen a date + we have some family stiff to do so I hope that this forum will help me a lot before the real craziness during the wedding planning period. Happy to be here
    • Two of my friends are going to get married next month. Out of them one is suffering from serious teeth issue. He is having bleeding gums along with jaw pain and swelling, particularly around the gums or around the jaw. Because of the teeth issue, he is not able to make the arrangements for the marriage. Is it safe to carry out tooth extraction during this period of time? How painful is dental implants during and after the procedure? Will he be able to eat food after tooth extraction? Please share your views and suggestions. Thank you!
