Thanks!!
At least you'll get one in April to pay off those credit cards! (I know that's what I would!!)

I was just getting him something small, but now I can get the watch he wanted. What about an engraved flask, or cuff links.

We're getting legally married in Mexico, hopefully everything works out! I just love the idea of legally getting married in front of our friends and family on the beach. And it's one less thing we have to do before we go away wink.gif

I am so jealous everyone seems to be getting so much stuff done on their to do lists, I have to get busy, I am starting to freak out! I only have like 3 weeks to go. I know I can get all the little projects done, really the main thing bugging me and waking me up at night is the fact that I would like to tone up some more! I am so not at my target weight!!! Ahhhh!!!!

I haven' been avoiding you ladies...Ok I have, I can't get on this site for only a few minutes. It sucks me in then an hour has passed and I have so many thngs to do. My list left (yes I leave in 11days!!)

-Guest book pages (I am die cutting out beach things like star fish shells and each guest is going to write a note on it which I am putting in a scrap book when I get home next to a pic of them at the wedding)

-ring shell

-conversion charts for OOT bags so people can quickly see how much they are really paying for things

- scavenger hunt

-write vows

-tags and labels for OOT bag stuff

-finish up welcome books

-personlize travel mugs

-foot jewlery

- music list (Ipod being downloaded by FI)

-add bead jewels to flower girl dresses.

-pack me and my two daughters and FI

OK more then I thought but none of them take long, but with my Christmas list just as long I need to get going!! Light a fire under my a@# please someone.

oh my, i guess that's one of the "little" things stressing me out! haha glad to hear we're not alone in that boat. ((i'm also in the "my FI could care less/has no sense of urgency" boat))
I'm so glad I'm not the only one. We were going to buy a house, but it fell thru and since then we haven't done anything about living together. I think our plan is to rent for 6-8 months and try to buy then. But, if that's the plan we need to find an apartment asap!

Is anyone getting legally married at their destination? We are.. What's up with getting the marriage license and doing it legally here? Is that easier? Crap- I hope this isn't one more thing I have to do.. smile35.gif
We're getting legally married here for a couple of reasons, 1- I don't do needles and the idea of having my blood drawn in Mexico really freaks me out 2- if we ever need a copy of our marriage license its nice to know that I can go to my local town hall and 3- I didn't want to worry about the translation of everything. But, lots of people on here have gotten legally married at their destination and I did really struggle for a little while about knowing we were legally married here and not there. So, we're not doing any kind oof ceremony for the legals here, paperwork and that's it. So its no big deal and the real wedding is in Mexico.

I had my 2nd fitting today. I decided not to take any pics. I want the first pics of me in the dress to be on wedding day. My dress fit fantastically and my boobs looked great! lol I had her sew in two sets of cups. The seamstress was like are you serious? Heck yeah lady, the girls need to look good! hahaha My BM dresses finally came in also. I decided to order a veil today.

I'm definitely feeling better about things today. I've started tanning for the big day and I scheduled a facial for Monday. I have a makeup lesson tomorrow because I want to do my own makeup rather than trust a stranger on wedding day. We are expecting bad weather so hopefully she doesn't cancel on me.

grrrr...i had big plans for today! somehow, i just don't seem to get my goals accomplished and the days are just flyyyyyying by!!! oh, dear. :

KLC77 - we had SOME progress on a place to live today. FI contacted a realtor/family friend who looked up rental properties. we narrowed it down to about 4-5 good ones, and hopefully we can make a decision ASAP. well, we also both need JOBS as recent college grads, too.... details, right?! haha

tomorrow is my lingerie shower, and i'm SUPER excited about it! i'm sure i'll take tons of pics and post a fun thread!

hopefully i can make a few huge check marks on my list tomorrow...?!

p.s. i received my massive order from SmartyPants today, and Joy - once again - rocks my socks off!!! she's a genius - pics to come!

Ok my January brides, I need help! Now that we are only 14 days away from getting to Mexico little details are freaking me out. I need to know what time your ceremonies are scheduled to start. Our is to start at 4pm and I'm concerned about the sun setting too soon afterward and not having enough time for pictures. I believe from what I could find online that sunset is 5:23pm on our day.

We're getting married at 3:00. I really wanted to get married at 4:00 but that time wasn't available. I wouldn't worry too much about photos. Just plan to walk down the ailse together and off to a spot that you won't see your guests. Get the photos done quickly so you can enjoy your cocktail hour. Get all the pics you can over with before the ceremony. pics with your bridesmaids, parents, ect. it will save you time in the end. Hope this helps! Plus, you'll get great susnset pics!!!!!!

We are having a 3pm ceremony just for that reason. But like SBlake just said - you can just rush off to get your pics done. Just explain to your guests the reason! You can always check out this other option - it's called the first look photos. You & the groom will see each other for the first time before the ceremony. It is an intimate moment shared between only you & your H2B - to see each other for the first time and that way you don't have to worry about getting pics after the ceremony - and it may also calm those pesky nerves a bit too!! I personally don't think I want to do that - but I did consider it. I think I still want the traditional see each other as I'm walking down the aisle (or path...whatever the case may be!!) But it is a great option! Here is the thread on this topic...http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t33668

Good luck!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
