Ryan and I sent our STDs around Christmas. Our (my) plan was to write a letter around this time telling people different things, you know what i mean, things like what the guy picking us up at the airport will wear, things like that. I also wanted to include things about security screenings at the airport as most of our guests don't often travel. I told Ryan tonight that I was going to do this tomorrow and he said "why don't we just send invitations?" I told him that we cannot order them this late. I guess we could just get generic ones and fill in the blanks. I think this is silly because our guests are already booked so they obviously know that they are invited. He has mentioned invitations before, I asked him tonight if he is bothered because we did not send "real" invites and he said I don't know. What do you ladies think? To send or not to send, that is the question!

I can understand why he feels this way. I guess he would want to keep something a little traditional. Its really nice how he even cares about invites. Most men just show up at the wedding and they could care less how the people got there or how they even got there for that matter! lol I think you should go to Target and get the black invites. Print some traditional wedding invite verses at home. Dont send out any rsvp cards. Just the invite. That shouldnt cost you over 25 bucks. Then create a cute newsletter from publisher and print it out and put it in your invite. If there are some people not coming that you invited anyway - ie grandparents, elderly family, etc... You could send them an invite out.

I think its nice that FI is involved. I say, go half way. Everyone is happy. If you are pushed for time - ask FI to send the invites through the printer and you can do the newsletter.

offtopic2.gif Oh Oh I just noticed that Im a senior member! I cant wait to tell FI.

So as senior member I think you should do both. (Do I have clout now?) LMAO

In fact, I would totally help you come up with the words for the invite (since Im on spring break and well...I should do something senior like plus Im just being nice blush2.gif)

My friend did hers from target and i thought they were nice. Click the image to open in full size.

Jean M has some at target too. But at this point we are just pleasing FI so dont worry. He probably doesn't care if it matches your wedding colors.

If FI gives in and says no invites then just send out the newsletters. They are more fun anyways.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
