SunBride's insanely long DREAMS TULUM wedding review and pictures

Recommended Posts

Your awesome Sunbride! Thanks for the suggestion of putting the brown in the back, turquoise in the front of the gazebo and alternate the bows on the chairs with turquoise and brown. Love it! I do really like the white on the gazebo...it just looks so clean and pure...BUT I need to make a decision because I can't have them all! Thanks for your input.

Also...I really like the color of your husbands suit...that is the color I want (instead of just tan). Do you know what color that is or where he got it? We were probably just going to rent a suit (they have a Cruisine line which is lighter material) but I only saw it in tan...but I didn't ask about another color.

Monica - Love your idea for the gazebo! To bad you aren't getting married right before me so I can use it. :) I'm getting married 4 days before you!

My Mom and I are making the hanging flowers using fake orchids. I can't get the measurements for the gazebo from them. Just curious if you knew? = )
The gazebo is not a permanent structure so you might not be able to get exact measurements. Ours didn't get put up until right before the ceremony but it was then used for the next ceremony that we saw while we were there. Even if Landy sends an exact figure over, it might be wise to allow for some leeway.

PS. Sunbride, those decorations were beautiful. I wish Dreams would use that set up as the default.

Sannjn- WOW are dates are really close!! We will be arriving 6/25 maybe I will see you = ) Too bad yours isn't right after mine. I plan on leaving the hanging flowers there for future brides because I will never have use for them again.

calyx6- thanks for the info. that will help me alot. If I can just get an estimated height I will feel better. I don't want them too short

I think maybe when you were there they changed the gazebo because the other one was damaged or something, but I don't think it's their regular practice to change them all the time, probably only once in a while (they weren't changed when I was there). I know somebody mentioned that they used to have a more permanent structure which got damaged in a hurricane. You can see it in the trip advisor photos if you go back a bit. It was a bit farther from the main area, almost right in front of the rocks.

You'll probably have trouble getting an answer about the measurements, they seem to give priority to emails they think are important, and they might not think a question like that is! But I guess you have lots of time to wait. If I was to guess I would say it was 7" high. I personally think it would look just as good if they were a bit too short, you could always cut them different lengths so that some are a foot off the ground, others two feet. Or make them too long (like 8 or 9") and cut off the excess when you get there. Or lastly, you could just make one long string and then cut it into several strings the right length once you get there.

I don't know the color of my husband's suit, I called it sand. We got it Stars men shop, which they probably don't have in the U.S. It's a calvin klein suit though so you might be able to find it elsewhere. It cost 300$ + taxes and alterations (415$ total). It's 100% wool, not hot wool but I lightweight wool, I read online that it's a good fabric for summer because very breathable. He did get hot in it, but not unbearably. He kept the jacket on longer than I expected him to for photos.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
