Having an invitation mini-crisis, can you help?

Recommended Posts

Good Lord. Ok Maura- here's my plan for you. Between now and May 10th piss off as many people as you can- especially the European ones. Hopefully you could not only cut down your guest list, but you would also spend less on postage. It's a brilliant plan if you ask me.

I made sure that only 20 people loved me enough to go to Mexico. It was hard to convince some that I wasn't as cool as they thought, but eventually they let go of their absolute love for me and decided not to go.

And I agree- invites get looked at for like 10 secs and then either A) lost or B) deliberately thrown in the trash. And then you either get A) emails about the information that they read on the invite and carelessly forgot or B) calls telling you that they "misplaced" the invite and need you to verbally read everything that the invite said. When in doubt- go the easy route.

White Aisle was so incredibly easy to work with. I know it says 3-4 weeks on their website, but I just ordered them last Thursday and they arrived on Monday!!! They are gorgeous and the quality is great.

Well, i don't know much about cardstock weight, but it's definitely not flimsy or anything like that. I ordered the ivory. The paper has a jagged-type edge (I'm sure there is a term for that) that I really like. I also ordered that flat-printing, not letterpress. I also like the fact that at White Aisle, you can order any amount above 25, not just in increments of 25. I ordered 30. Hope that helps somewhat!

I saw other invitations from white aisle that i loved and am thinking about ordering a sample. the one i like best is this one below (but we would order in navy and light blue or navy and green - i am showing you the navy and green combo below just to see the navy):

Maura those were our invitations, only the resized them and made them in orange and brown to match our colors! I love love love White Aisle. They were pricey but we only sent them to guests who rsvp'd with a yes to the std, otherwise I would have tried a DIY too.

I ordered those as a sample when I was picking invites. They were really nice quality - I just didn't like the unfinished edge. Actually, I liked it, I was just surprised by it because the pics made it look like a clean cut edge. The cardstock was definitely normal quality.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
