    So I just thought it would be fun to have all of my guests get tipsy with drinks and try to break a big pinata full of fun toys! Has anyone done this.....better ? would Dreams let us do this somewhere.

      hi there! yes, Dreams will let you have a Pi±ata. Where are you having your reception?

      I had a Pi±ata hung from the palm trees on the upper level of the Cascadas terrace (far right) for a recent wedding and it worked out fine.. a few things to consider;
      Setup - be sure to let the hotel know far in advance you are planning on doing this and also that you'll need their help setting it up.
      Lighting - Make sure that the hotel installs extra spot lights in the area you choose to hang the pi±ata..
      Execution - you will likely need someone from your group or from the hotel to help with 'handling' the cord of the pi±ata.
      Safety - ahhh... this is an important one.. you may want to schedule the pi±ata smacking earlier than later as tipsy guests and a hard, wooden pole are not a good combo!

        Thanks, at first this seemed like a ridiculous idea but OHHHHH SOOOO FUN!
        I would honestly prefer not to do it at our reception but maybe our Welcome dinner. I would just love watching adults smack a pinata!

              They had a pinata setup near the front lobby. They played some games then asked the honeymooners to stay.. we got to wack at the pinata.. it was really fun.

              But I'm sure your setup would be more private.

                  They actually wanted professional photos of a party like that? lol My bachelorette was hilarious but I was glad we only had one camera around. The digital pics are locked in a vault never to be printed. lol

                    Just thought of something else.. are you planning on getting the pi±ata when you get here or will your WC purchase it for you ahead of time?

                    I ask because although you will find pi±atas almost anywhere in Cabo, they are mostly the birthday party kind... If you want the traditional star-shaped pi±atas (like the one in the photo posted by cheese_diva) you may need to order it in advance in which case you may even be able to specify the colors used! too cool and inexpensive! hope this helps.
