Hey Natalie, Im having the same issue. Im going with a catholic ceremony and wanted jul 13 @5 but its not available. I asked for Jul 20 and they only have for 4. Im so upset because I feel 4 is too early and 6 too late. What day and time did you decide? I think Im going to go with jul 20 at 4 because I want to make sure is early enough for pictures

msvasq - I actually emailed the reservations dept and they didn't answer my question, I think they misunderstood me because this is what they wrote " Please check in our web site www.dreamsresorts.com I just login and the prices are available for July 2013." I am going to ask again and I will also ask the travel agent. I'll keep u updated. Carolina13 - the original date I wanted was in June but I had to try 3 different dates before I got the time I wanted. It wasn't easy and I ended up getting a date in July. At first they offered me 7pm on one date and then 3 pm on another. One was too late and the other too early but I got Sat July 6 at 6pm which is the time I wanted, about an hour before sunset. If time is a big deal to u as it was to me, u are going to have to keep trying different dates. If the date is a big deal for you then u will prob have to be flex with the time. Good luck and keep me updated.

@Sherylh

I got a price of $14.99 per person for a la carte dinner for January 2013.  Half price if the kids eat off the kids menu.

Our plan is to do a reception for guests while doing our pictures, then go to dinner.  They will reserve a section of your selected restruant for you. At least thats what we've been told by our WC.

We were going to do the bonfire, but were told the price is not just $200, it's $200 PER HOUR!  Thats crazy!  So now we need a plan for after dinner.  Most likely just go dancing or hand out at a bar somewhere.

Hi Ladies, Our wedding is July 30, 2013 6pm there should still be enough sun to take pictures after the ceremony. I plan on taking as many as I can before the ceremony with my wedding party so that will help.

We are using Liberty Travel. I have a block of rooms and a group rate from the hotel that my TA worked out a 5 night stay and a 3 night stay. I'm not sure how good it is but it seems alright, I didn't have anything to compare it to.

I did talk with TA Patty from this site, she was WONDERFUL!!!!! She gave me so much information. I wanted to change TA's but my FI said it was nothing wrong with the one we had. He didn't want it to look like anything was going wrong to our guest because so many had already talked with the one from liberty travel. If you haven't picked a TA yet send TA Patty a message.

I was thinking about a bonfire but 200.00 a hour is way to much. I plan on having a DJ at the reception and then going dancing at the disco after. I know I wont want the party to stop.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
