Welcome to the forum, and congrats! After dinner a lot of people have drinks and music outside by the pool or on a terrace.

    Happily married since 2008

I was looking for a little music for my guest. Outside, I feel like I'll have to entertain!

Welcome! I'm also getting married at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya. My wedding 7/31/08...when is yours

I'm not sure what we'll do after dinner yet...I'm hoping the WC will have some suggestions. I'm not looking for any type of traditional receptions, just a place to drink and hang out...and drink

        When is your wedding?

Congrats! I am actually getting married at the riu playacar in 21 days and since you are staying a riu resort you can go over to the riu tequila who has a club type place with music. I think that is what we are going to do after dinner. I will let you know how it goes.

My biggest problem is finding out something to do in between the ceremony and dinner. Unfortunately I was unable to get a later time I wanted so we are getting married at 12:00 noon and our dinner isn't until 6:30! I think we'll just go to one of the lounges or bars at one of the Riu's and have a cocktail hour or three. But I will definitly let you know how things go and different ideas on what you can do after dinner!

are you doing any type of gift bags in your guest rooms? If you are, what are you doing?
