Melissa, you mentioned that the disco at the Riu Jalisco is not open on a Wednesday night, do you happen to know if it is the same at the Riu Vallarta?

Well we always talked about going to the Disco at the Vallarta but never made it. I think it was open though on a Wednesday because some of our wedding party ended up there. AH i can't remember. Doh!

Thank you all...Melissa the rental of the pool bar is now 150$ per hour and the stereo system is 40$ per hour. Which is way over what we wanted to pay.....maybe we could just rent the stereo system and let everyone join in !! As there is only 13 of us in total.

 

PS I loved your Wedding Slideshow i was in tears it is beautiful.

Hi Helen,

 

Thank you if your daughter is having the beach wedding i will come along, maybe it will help me make my mind up, not sure if im going to have the beach or gazebo wedding. I have had my heart set on the Gazebo but do not want to go all that way and lose the destination feel if you know what i mean.

 

We are also travelling out from Manchester at 9.45am for the dreaded 14 hour flight!!

Maybe you can come and visit us at the Riu Jalisco, unfortunately we do not have this privilege to visit Riu Vallarta.

 

Im soooooo excited now just sorting out the last few details....have just booked my beauty treatments hair/makeup/nails etc with the salon within the Riu Jalisco.

 

Just really need to sort my reception party out....have emailed Erica the Wedding Coordinator a couple of times but haven't yet received a reply.

I don't know if you ladies know that the beach location is the same for both Riu's. It's actually almost between the 2 resorts, unless they changed the beach venue since I was there. It's very windy so be prepared!

If you go through the back (walk along the beach) you can get on th Vallarta property and use all their vicinities. We did this several times and even went through the front without a problem. just act like you belong there.

I absolutely loved that salon. The smell was so relaxing. And the treatments are heavenly. DH loved the exfoliation(in our wedding package) so much we booked massages and wraps!

They are horrible with e-mails just wait until you get there, they're very accommodating in person.

I didn't know there was a disco at Vallarta! That's good to know! People have asked me what we were doing after the reception if they still wanted to party.

We are having our wedding on the beach and I hope it's not too windy and there aren't a lot of lookey-loos! The gazebo at Jalisco is BEAUTIFUL!! I took a ton of pics of it when we went on our site visit. I even took FI back one more time to look at it to make sure he didn't want to get married there - but he was set on the beach!

Erika does take a while to e-mail. Just resend and be patient.
