  1. @@tygrrlily Thanks again for more of the review!!!! Congrats again!! The pics are gorgeous and I love the cheesy shots I am so glad to hear that ultimately you and your guests liked Beach Palace because I have been having a few doubts lately about my choice. Your ceremony and reception was classy, beautiful and looked like sooo much fun and it gives me reassurance I will have the same I am also going with Styling Trio for hair and makeup and couldnt be more excited! I was given the choice to have Adrian for my hair and makeup but its $250 more on an already expensive bill. All the rave reviews are about him so do you think it is worth it to pay the extra money?? Thanks for the info about the food too! I think that sticking with mexican food, fish, chicken and not much pork, beef is a good idea. I bet it is technically harder to mass produce quality pork or beef dishes in an all-inclusive. I am contemplating doing the plated dinner but also am not sure its worth the extra money.....do you know if the plated dinner is an option on the sky terrace? I would love to see your menu choices with substitutions when you have a chance! Also as I looked at your timeline I was wondering what the shoe game was during your reception? I would love to do some sort of interactive game during the reception
  2. @@zoeknight20 I reviewed my wedding contract and it says that they charge $65/table per hour to extend private events. This actually works out to $8.12 per guest. This may seem like a minor difference but we are planning on 80 guests and extending our reception 4 hours so it will come out to save us hundreds of dollars. I emailed my WC with this info so hopefully the change will be honored. I would review your contract and see if it says the same! To all the palace brides I have to give rave reviews about working with Latin Asia Cancun for my decor so far! I researched them independently online and on Pinterest and fell in love with their work and THEN found out they are a Palace preferred vendor. They provide all decor from flowers, furniture, lighting, centerpieces etc. The communication thus far has been flawless and the options they have put together for me look great!
  3. @@tygrrlily OMG love the pics from the reception!! Looks like sooooo much fun!! Where did your reception get moved to? It doesnt look like the ballroom so one of the restaurants? So I am expecting approx 70-80 guests and so far we have 3 events planned. I plan to do a welcome beach party with cocktails and food on Thursday (with maybe a mariachi band for the first hour???). I plan to do the rehearsal dinner for our immediate family and wedding party on Friday at the Palenque terrace which will be approx 35 people. We wanted to keep this dinner small and give the other guests an opportunity to do something on their own for one night. We thought the infinity terrace would lack privacy but maybe not?? Could people give speeches in that area without feeling like everyone else is watching them? Our ceremony and reception on Saturday will be at the sky deck and sky terrace Which buffets would you recommend? I think you said that the caribbean was the worst. I was thinking maybe Mexican or Yucatan for the welcome beach party, Italian for rehearsal dinner and maybe International for the reception.... My friends are mostly foodies so I want to go with the best ones if possible Thanks again for your awesome thread and review so far! Its sooooo helpful!
  4. @@zoeknight20 I also received the quote of $8.50 per person/hour to extend the reception but would find the email with the $60 and copy and paste it back to the WC. Who are you using for decor? Photography? I just booked Del Sol and am super excited! The reviews look amazing! xoxo Jessica
  5. @@tygrrlily Thanks for the info! Great idea with the pashminas for the ladies at night! I love your review so far and so much helpful info! I actually decided against the infinity terrace for my rehearsal dinner but now may rethink my decision. I love your OOT bags and we were going to do beer koozies but may not be the most useful either! Cant wait to see the rest of your review!
  6. I cannot wait for the review as well! Gorgeous pics!!!!! I am getting married at Beach Palace next December 12/12/15 and was concerned when I saw the weather and the low temps down to 65 degrees. Did you and your guests get cold at night? Was it super windy on the sky terrace at night? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
