  1. @@calgarybride2015 @@acw271011 Thank you so much ladies! I love Styling Trio! And our photographer and videographer Sarani Weddings were amazing! Everything turned out great!
  2. I ended up using Styling Trio. Best decision ever! They were so amazing. They did exactly what I wanted. I had a trial and used this trial for a family photoshoot. Had them come to Dream Riviera Cancun for hair and makeup for me and my 7 girls, had a hair change for the reception. And they also did my TTD photoshoot hair and makeup. I love Adrian and his team. I'm so glad I went with them. Here's a highlight video of my wedding: https://vimeo.com/160636262 And wedding photo blog links: http://www.saraniweddings.com/weddings/gallery/jenna-jeffrey-dreams-riviera/ http://www.saraniweddings.com/weddings/gallery/jenna-jeffrey/
  3. We got our wedding video highlights. We had our wedding at Dreams Riviera Cancun 01/23/2016. We went with Sarani Weddins for photos and video and we are so delighted with everything. We hired them for a 7 hour coverage of photos and video as well as a TTD photoshoot in a cenote. 5. @@TammyWright Thank you for your response. I did and I think we came up with a decision.
  6. Hi Ladies, please help! I'm torn between this two. I like both of their photos. Also, I will be needing videos. Del Sol will be launching their video services and Sarani has been doing video services. I can't decide which on to go to. Any suggestions and past experiences with these vendors would help. Thank you!
  7. @pddmc WOW! Beautiful wedding!!! Were you able to get all the photos del sol took from your wedding (including raw photos) or is there a limit on the number of photos you can have? Did they also provide a photo album?
  8. @@desmiv At one point my fiancé and I were at the same boat. And I have determined the biggest factor to consider is that time of the year... Around June to September Cancun's chance of rain is pretty high and if Cancun beach wedding is what you prefer you might want to consider a change of date. Originally we wanted a June wedding but knowing the chance for rain and hurricane, I just didn't want to deal with the stress.. As far as the beach itself, when we visited February of this year you can definitely swim in it. The seaweeds gets a little too much but they do clean it twice a day and its just getting there at a good time will also help. Another thing too, there are water sports activities around that you can do and you can do boating, kayaking around the area. We felt that the place is also a little far from everything but we thought that people are actually there for our wedding and the thought of a secluded, tropical, hidden paradise theme feel was definitely there that's why we thought its a good idea to keep it in that place. We almost switch to Dreams Sands or somewhere around the hotel zone area but the place felt more touristy like. If anything our guests can travel to the hotel zone area and enjoy some of the stuff they have to offer which in reality we have it here. Hotel zone felt more like Miami to us or something like that.. I hope this helps...
  9. Any of you ladies using or used the resort's DJ service? Is it worth it?! Does this include an MC or do we have to provide our own MC? Still deciding on how to go about on our reception music... Thank you ladies!
  10. @@ckelly2581 Congratulations!!! My wedding is on January 23, 2016 and I started my planning and contacting the resort and travel agent October 2014. I booked my wedding through the resort and I browsed around with travel agent. I suggest after confirming your date, contact a travel agent so you can work on a group rate and perhaps gets some sort of incentive for having 70 guests. I started with a room block of 15 rooms that we paid for and now I have 30 rooms blocked. The cost for any additional room blocks we needed were covered by the deposits from the rooms that were reserved by our guests. Our immediate family I knew for sure were staying with us for 7 days and the rest of our guests I did a room block of just guessing how many nights they will be staying. At least 3 nights to 5 nights and ofcourse they can just extend or upgrade their room category as they want, they just have to contact my travel agent and she does the rest. Hopefully this info helps. Happy planning!
  11. @@desmiv Congratulations!!! I honestly dont know how the previous destination brides did it without all these forums back in the day.. everybody has been so helpful and definitely gives me a peace of mind at times but seeing and hearing other stuff could also get overwhelming... hahaha!! As far as my room block, I blocked 15 rooms to begin with and paid for that 15 rooms in deposit. Increasing the room block is pretty much taken care of with everybody booking. This all depends on your travel agent how they do things.
  12. @pddmc aaaahhhhh... i love love your photos! They are absolutely beautiful!!!!!
  13. @pddmc Did you do a trial with The Best Moments? If so, did you have to pay for the vendor fee twice for coming to DRC twice?
  14. @@Wafflesmom Heeeey!!! Congratulations!!! Woot woot... we're getting married at the same time!!!! :-D I actually haven't booked them yet.. now I wonder since you are booked with them at the same time if they can still book me... what time is your wedding? :-)
  15. Thank you for that info @@KayRae atleast I dont have to worry about foreign transaction fee and such if anything I can just do what you did and pay through paypal and the rest in cash.
  16. @@KayRae @@tygrrlily with Styling trio, did their prices had an added tax and gratuity or did you pay as is from what they quoted you their rate is? Thank you
  17. @@Lbrennan0 WOW! that's amazing!!! How much did you spend each bag for the OOT bags? Im looking for something like this but everything seems to be too much..
  18. @@Lbrennan0 Everything look so great!!!! I tried looking for your out of town bags, but I cant seem to find it :-(
  19. @@yuniedo I used a TA. My wedding package comes with the cocktail hour. I believe my TA offers book 6 rooms get 1 free (3 nights stay) maximum of 3 free rooms. I think my fiancé and I will be using it as a credit to go towards our room and since we will be shouldering our photographer/videographer hotel stay, we will also be using it for them. We're staying for 1 week in multiple room category and I did read a lot about the resort just upgrading you if they see that you are getting married, ofcourse depending on room availability. So we figured taking the credit would be better.
  20. Congratulations @@yuniedo and @@BeachBride2016!!! I am booked for January 23, 2016. I did a site visit last February to get some piece of mind with my fiancé. Overall impression, its a great resort and definitely the service was amazing. We didn't do any wedding food tasting but we did a tour of the resort and we went over wedding catalogs. It's a bit overwhelming because there's quite more to it than we thought it would. It seems like there's a charge on every single thing but I guess that's wedding. We are expecting between 50-60 guests and we took the Ultimate package. I'm kinda hesitating on my package since there's quite a few of it I wouldn't wanna use like the resort's spa services for hair and makeup and my fiancé is not big on massage. Also, we will be flying out our photographer and videographer from Las Vegas so I wouldn't really wanna use the photo and video service it comes with but I did speak to Claudia about using the photo and video service for something else like a family photoshoot before the day of our wedding and she said it shouldn't be a problem. My suggestion for now I'd say is take care of your room block. I have blocked a total of 25 premium deluxe room for the weekend of my wedding and they are currently sold out now. They are only offering preferred club ocean view and up. When we stayed we had the preferred club ocean view. The preferred club service was nice and we had special access to their VIP lounge but we barely hanged out there and it felt like we didn't really need that service that's why we changed our reservations to the premium deluxe category. And since I have a big bridal party (2 matron of honors and 6 bridesmaids) I requested to have the Master suite the night before and the day of the wedding so we can get ready comfortably. I'm currently deciding on hair and airbrush makeup services and still deciding which vendor I would choose. Feel free to ask any questions. I would say this website has been amazing to me in answering any of my questions. :-)
  21. @@yuniedo Hi! I did a site visit last February for my January 2016 wedding. I saw weddings almost everyday. The night we arrived, there was 2 weddings going on. One of the reception is the seaside grill and the other one is on the beach. Even if lets say there's a north and south beach reception, you cant hear the noise of one another. The resort may seem small in maps but in person there's nothing to worry about. There's definitely plenty of room for 2 weddings. And you actually will barely see each other. There's a good space between the north and south. And yes we will get our own wedding coordinator 3 months prior to our wedding date and that will be assigned to take care of our wedding. :-)
  22. @@tygrrlily Thank you so much! Your wedding looked absolutely beautiful! I did read a few reviews about Styling Trio makeup lasting till the following night. Not that I'm planning on not taking them off, I was thinking of having a change of hairstyle and a possible retouch after the ceremony or something. I'm not sure if that's necessary because I'm sure it'll be an additional charge.
  23. @@jsparrow10 Thank you!!! My FI is actually against me hiring a hair and makeup artist. When we did our engagement photo, I hired someone with supposedly 5 stars review here at home and he hated my makeup she did for me. I ended up changing my makeup and doing it myself. He's insisting I just do my own makeup. I've been telling him its not the same on your wedding day. Oh guys sometimes they just dont get it... @@pddcmc I'm bringing my own photographer from home. Although my package has a photo and video coverage included, I think I'm gonna try to swtich it to a family photoshoot before the wedding instead of a wedding coverage. When we came to Dreams and visited, I asked Claudia and adventure photos and they told me it shouldn't be a problem. I want to add a photo booth from adventure photos as well. I haven't gone far with that but I'm hoping they can work something out with me. Are you gonna be doing a trash the dress session with del sol?
  24. @@calgarybride2015 Thank you! I did contact them as well but I'm not sure how I feel about them.. @@pddcmc Congratulations! Your wedding is just right around the corner.. Please don't forget to post some reviews from The Best Moments
  25. @@KayRae Thank you! I will check out their website. Best moment also uses air brush make up. Its just that the price quote I got from them is definitely cheaper compare to styling trio. If I can get the same quality at a better rate, why not..
