Thank you ladies for your response. We are having a wedding at Las Caletas in Nov 2015 and my travel agent said this was the best resort that is walking distance to the downtown area. I just don't want to be in a boring zone and wondering if I would have to rent a bus to get my guests to and from the marina.

Has anyone stayed at the Now Amber in PV? I heard it is walking distance to downtown PV. Thanks!

Hello all, My fiancé and I have booked a stay at the Hard Rock - Heaven Section. We leave in a couple of weeks and we're so excited. The main point of this trip is to figure out where we want to have our venue and ceremony. I have heard a lot about Xcaret, Tulum, and PDC. We have 5 days there, what do you all recommend we take a look at? So far we are scheduled to meet with a woman from Xcaret. Thanks!

Hello, I am on the same boat as you. I want to have my ceremony at the St. Francis of Assisi chapel but I do not know where to have my venue at because I might have a small party. We are looking into the Grand Porto to stay but I heard the chapel is about 35 minutes away from the Grand Porto. What did you find out about venues around those two chapels? Hi! Congrats!! My fiancé and I are planning a summer 2015 wedding and next year we will be getting married on our 10th year anniversary as well! I am on the same boat as you! I have a friend who just got married at Playa del Carmen in November and she has been really helpful. She told me to look at professional wedding photos from there to help decide on the location which I did and now I am a step closer. We have a date; 8/8/15 and looking into the Grand Porto but still do not know where we want our venue. The place where I want to have the ceremony is far away from the venue. I am just so confused. anyway, good luck!!

So I met with the travel agent today, and she told me Grand Porto which is next door to the Royal at PDC would benefit us better since we have kids in our wedding. I fell in love with the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel in Xcaret Park. Now, my question is, how far is the Grand Porto from this chapel? And also, where else can we have our venue at other than La Isla Restaurant? My good friend had her venue there back in November, it looks like a beautiful place but I don't want to copy her, lol. Hello all, my fiancé and I are looking into an August 2015 wedding and originally planned on Gran Carribe Real in Cancun. We fell in love with the chapel over looking the ocean but I'm sure we shouldn't base our wedding location on just the chapel. However, I have heard many great reviews on Playa Del Carmen so if any of you can give me some reviews/opinions on any great locations at Playa del Carmen or your thoughts of Gran Carribe Real in Cancun I would greatly appreciate it.
