  2. @@cassie06 That's perfectly fine with me!!! I sent the STDs to everyone that we wanted to share our celebration with.... A total of 40 people I think... But we're only expecting around 20-25 but as of now it's just 8!!! Still waiting for others to book!

  4. @@cassie06 Thank you!! I actually did personalized shot glasses as favors too! They are super cute! I'm excited to see them in person! Here's the sticker for the other side!!! They are being printed now!!!
  5. @@cassie06 THANK YOU!!! I am inserting these into luggage tag holders which will be sent with my pre travel packet... I will only be sending the pretravel packet 2 months before the trip, so I will only send to those people who have booked their trip--otherwise I'll waste money!!! I'm not doing a AHR once we return, so this is it!
  6. @@tygrrlily Thanks!! We are perfect for each other!!! I wanted to start my planning blog to help me stay on course and keep myself organized! Plus this is fun so it keeps me coming back to add more! I did consider mint, but my SO wanted a blue color... That's why I thought the soft aqua would look great... He came up with the teal, although it looks more green to me and I did consider turquoise but again was afraid of having two dominate colors...
  7. We are the same way! We wanted to have a BLAST and didn't want a crappy DJ!!! I got the light up dance floor too, so that will be fun too!! I can't wait-- we are having our reception on the beach and I think the light up floor is going to look amazing!!! I love that music chooser too! Makes it so much easier!!! SO far Dean helped me with the video, DJ, and gave me some contact for local flower vendors... I am planning on bringing a majority of our decor (chair sashes, aisle decor, paper lanters, centerpiece, etc)... The items through the resort are ridiculously priced!!! As for flowers I haven't really decided... I really only will need flowers for a little decoration so I plan on contacting Flores Riviera Maya--but haven't decided what exactly I want yet... I'm thinking just pomander/kissing balls.... but I may not get them at all... I actually ordered my bouquets and bouts through Bloom Bridal. http://www.bloombridal.com/ I did not want to pay hundreds of dollars for flowers that I'd have to throw away... I want to keep my bouqet and put it in a shadow box with my dress and other wedding keepsakes... Judy is custom making my items and her prices are great and I can keep them forever! I may get the pomander balls from her too, but I just don't know what I'd do with them after the wedding and I don't know how many tables I'll need to decorate yet so I don't want to pay for too many... But there is a waiting list for her so I wanted to ensure that I'd get my items, so I went ahead and ordered
  8. $$800.00 is outrageous!! And with the amount of $$ they are making off you having 75 room nights!! So insane!! I don't even understand the logic behind $800.00!!!! I hope that you can get the 1 vendor fee for that! I booked with Discomovil too! I asked my photog Dean for advice and he gave me his contact info and said he had attended many weddings where he was the DJ and it was great... SO we went with him! Dean has been really helpful helping me find local vendors!
  9. Destination wedding decision--- Kyle and I knew from the moment he asked me to marry him that we wanted a beach wedding... Having met in Florida and spending most of our time on the beach, we just knew that was us!!! We had originally planned to have the wedding at one of our meeting places, Destin Florida... Which is absolutely gorgeous and we love it there... Then we realized how expensive a US wedding would cost for us and our guests... They'd be spending about a ton on a flight and hotel stay in Florida... So we began researching a destination wedding... I immediately knew if we were going to do it that we HAD to do it in Riveria Maya--having been there 2 years ago for a friends wedding, I already knew how beautiful it was!! We looked at multiple resorts, but we started looking before any pricing contracts were out so we couldn't get an accurate account of the costs... But we got estimates and went from there... Our original choice of hotel was the Barcelo Palace Deluxe--but since my friend got married at the Barcelo I didn't want to be a copy cat and I wanted to try something new... Next we found the Royal in PDC and we absolutely LOVED that resort but it was totally out of the price range that we wanted our guests to have to pay.... That led us to the Gran Porto... http://www.realresorts.com/Gran-Porto-Real/?af=adrealus&gclid=CIDf46K_l74CFaNj7AodDQcAsA I was a bit nervous since I hadn't seen a lot of recent reviews for that resort for weddings, but we decided that we loved the look and the price and the fact that it's near the "downtown" area so people could feel free to wander about the town and aren't stuck at the resort the whole time... So we went with it!!! I am still a bit nervous about the fact that it's a public beach but if people want to watch me get married that's okay with me!! We got booked the DAY that the pricing became available! I couldn't stand to wait any longer!! It was a long 3 month wait and that was enough!!! We are leaving Saturday 01/03/15, have the wedding on Wednesday 01/07/15 and will leave 01/11/15-- OH I CAN'T WAIT!!! Wedding colors--- NEED A BIT OF HELP LADIES!!! A definite color is Fuchsia-- as you can tell I LOVE pink and could definitely not have a wedding without having the main color as pink!! I asked to have fuchsia and light pink, my Kyle said we needed a more masculine color, but if I really wanted two pinks he'd be ok with that... So I compromised!!! For the second color, I'm a little torn.... I'm thinking aqua so I have a complimentary color and not two dominant colors... As my other choice is teal, but I think it and fuchsia together would be too much... Thoughts?? Here is the fuchsia and aqua inspiration Fuchsia and teal inspiration-- Let me know your thoughts ladies!! Thanks!
  10. @@tygrrlily @@acw271011 I booked with styling trio!! I'm so excited!! I'm still holding out hope that my resort will waive the outside vendor fee so I don't have to leave my room!! Fingers crossed!!!
  11. @@tygrrlily The vendor fees at the Gran Porto are $350.00 per vendor... SO not excessively high, but a little ridiculous if you ask me... I think any outside vendor fee is crazy! It's my wedding and I may not want your resorts services!! You'd think they would be happy with all the $$ they're making on me having my wedding there!! Ok Rant over!! LOL Did you make a decision on the photog and video?
  12. @@MontegoBayBridePA Holy cow! 50!! That will be a task for sure!! I will only have 20-25!!

I'm just still researching the design and look I want still! @lianabanana I think the barefoot sandals are a terrific fit for a beach wedding and reception! Plus I hate wearing shoes! This gives me the best of both worlds... Beautiful bling on my feet and no cramped toes and blisters! @@LissaSou I am!! I can't wait to see them in person! 18. @@dawnb I would definitely go with the more expensive photographer that you love! Maybe you could talk to him about customizing a package for you with less hours for a cheaper cost. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk I forgot to include my costs. For the photography I'm going with Dean Sanderson his prices are very good and he's got a great portfolio... I am getting 4 hours of photography with all photography rights for$2000.00.. Something close to this... For video I'm going with Mike Canterall (sp) with Cancun wedding videography... Again, I can't remember the exact cost but it's 4 hours around the same cost... Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
