  1. Hi everyone!

I just returned from a wedding at hard rock Punta Cana Dec 2013.  I remember when I first started planning my wedding how overwhelming it was so if you guys have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help out another bride-to-be!BTW, I used photosouvenir and they were fantastic, I've received so many compliments on my pictures and how they look like they're out of a magazine!

    Hey,

i have so so so many questions, but where do i start? how are the venues? i'm getting married with a priest, do you know where they do those weddings? how about the reception? i have about 60 confirmed attendees, do you know which venue would be the best for that?

    Hey,

Do you have any pics of how thevenue of an indoor reception looks?

HI everyone! I am getting married on May 29, 2015 at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino! I am very excited about it and cant wait to begin planning everything. I already have a photographer- I went with an off resort vender to save $1500 (That's after the vender fees) and have gotten a DJ picked out, also off resort- which is saving me about another $2000! All together, my wedding is only costing me about $6000 including my photographer and the pricing Ive gotten on a DJ. Anyone had any luck finding an outside florist? The ones on resort are SO expensive!

    Hey,

do you mind sharing your vendors? i agree with you that these prices at the hotel are super pricey. my email is [email protected], if you don't mind sharing :)

    thanks,

Very nice.....don't do this too me.....now I am considering changing to this resort.

If anyone can help by giving an estimate number toward their wedding if its close to the 50-60 person range that would be so helpful. Im just trying to figure is our wedding cost us close to $20,000 or close to $10,000. Please please please any information you can share would be great!!!!

Hey, i'm having the sameconcern, did you get an answer?

    hello everyone,

i'm getting married early May 2015 and have not chosen anything yet, i'm freaking out a bit, but i'm not getting as lucky as others in terms of getting responses back from my wedding coordinator. can anyone share pics? videos? outside vendors? any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi there!  I've been having the same dilema myself with the Hard Rock Hotel....It looks AMAZING!!!  My TA  has actually been there recently and she had nothing but great things to say about the resort.  Since it's a former Palace resort she said that there is a 5 star standard! I haven't booked there yet, but it's definitely the front runner!!  I think it's hard to just "pick" a hotel to have your wedding at without having visited there first.  We'll probably end up booking there anyways, because I can't stop looking at the pictures!  Good luck to you!!!

    Hey,

do you have any pics of the resort? any tips on centerpieces, outside vendors, cake, music and photos?

  2. Hey! We have our wedding booked for 40 guest and counting so far, and yes they are extending the resort credits my TA called the wholesaler and they said "not officially yet" but it is in our contract and that's good enough for me :) we are going April 20-27 and our wedding will be on the 24th. So exciting!! I'm also super pumped about having our 75 room nights in as a group so YEAH for free unlimited private paties food and drinks included our comp 7 night stay and our free room upgrade! We are going to have our welcome dinner @ the Eden pool our ceremony on the isla beach and reception most likely in the ballroom. I freakin love this place! All my research and planning is starting to come together. <3

I am also a 2014 bride to be.  I received my contract and just need to send in my deposit.  I have also researched photographers and videographers.  Still need to pick sites for wedding, food, decorations.  I would love to see what you have found out and I will let you know what I have found out.  Just private message me and we can discuss.  Thanks alot!

    Hello!!!

Hoping to get some guidance from anyone who has gotten married or is getting married at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

My current issue of the day is offering my guests local / near by resorts as alternate options to staying at the Hard Rock Punta Cana. Does anyone have any suggestions??? Feedback would be WONDERFUL!!! My wedding is scheduled for Feb 14 2015 and I am working with Maryln in Miami.

Hoping to make some DW friends!!

    Cheers,

    Maggie

I am planning my wedding for December 2015 at the Hard Rock Hotel. Right now I am trying to pick a travel agent to work with. Has anyone ever worked with one of Hard Rock's WOW Specialist? If you have what were some of the benefits that came along with doing that?

    Thanks!!!

i've worked with marlyn tobon, shes so responsive at the HRH...

Tam, we used HDC for our pictures. If you get me an e-mail address I would be glad to share them with you. We got our pictures on CD three days after the wedding. We were totally blown away by the quality of what we received. We had 52 people in attendance and in total it probably cost us $25k. But that is a total budget and a lot of things that most brides and grooms don't pay for. Back that out those costs and it probably would have cost us $20k.....and that was with two free three hour events.

    Hello Kiki2289!

We used the HR DJ and we felt like we were partying in our favorite clubs in DC or Philly. We were nervous about it but it went as well as could be expected. Just give them the list of songs that your WC will ask you for and they will be able to tell what you like!

We had our wedding at 4pm. The ceremony was over at 4:30 and then we took a group picture with all our guests. By that time it was 4:45 and the guests went to too the cocktail hour. My wife and I started our pictures at around 4:45 and we didn't get done until 5:45 or so. I must admit....I was tired and ready to party but it went well. We used HDC and Milan really helped us capture every shot we wanted! Good luck and let me know if I can be of assistance.

  5. Getting married at Hard Rock Punta Cana in Feb 2015. Any other brides book this place for Feb. 2015? Also, past brides who have been married here, Do you have any photos from your wedding you can share with me?

    Hey,

congrats on your wedding. can you help me out? i'm getting married in May 2015 and i'm totally lost :)

  6. Hi everyone!

Do you have any pictures of how a wedding looks when the ceremony takes place on the gazebo?

  7. I'm piggy backing on KerriAnn5's response. We did a request form some months ago but never heard back from anyone. So when we asked about it we were told that you would only hear back if your request was denied. But I have been telling my fiancée that I really think that it comes down to money. Meaning that if I have the Element Terrace approved with my 55 guests and someone comes along with 100 guests......I am going to get bumped. Now that is just my opinion but money talks. When we visit next week I hope to have a firmer commitment on my locations after we meet with our WC.

P.S. I'm a guy....just call me an "active groom"! lol

hey i would love to see you save the date, that is exactly how i would like to do mine...my email is [email protected].

Okay for whatever reason my first post never was published..... so lets try this again... lol

    HI everyone!!

I am officially going to be getting married at the HRHPC on May 29, 2015!!! I have been looking at this site for answers and it has been a life saver! SO I decided to become a member and participate!! I have a few questions that hopefully you guys can answer for me.

    1) When scheduling my wedding and reception plus cocktail hour, I have been curious about if I should wait til my rooms are booked and get the incentives OR pay for everything in advance? ANy ideas which one would be easier? I already have all of my locations picked out along with decore etc. My worry is that if I wait til I get the incentives I may not have the ability to book with creative and the venders to help set up the venues. I am also worried about being guranteed by venue- if I do not pay for the venue ahead of time, that I may not get my requested area.

    2) Okay so lets talk about Miami. I LOVE my coordinator but they are very vague and big on you going through them for everything! I have been contacting the individual venders as well as my WC. I know that for weddings over 30 people there is an additional cost per chair and decore. I am doing the Elegant Ivory Collection and found out that people of 30 will be charged an additional $8 per chair and $10 per sash! Thats INSANE FOR JUST CHAIRS AND FABRIC. I had previously read that waiting ti lyou get to the hotel- is the cost effective way to go.Should I just hold off on bringing up the number of people attending the "wedding itself" til I get down to the resort? Will this save me money in the long run? What can I actually hold off on buying/ planning til I get down to the resort? I want to ensure my reception, wedding and cocktail sites are all in order but what else do I need to schedule in advance? Where can I effectively cut costs?

    3) Also can someone explain to me why the Allinclusivehotelweddings.com has the exact same PDF for wedding prices as your WC gives you, yet the prices are CHEAPER on this site?! BTW this is a travel agent site, I have access to it and would be glad to send the PDF to anyone else to look at.

    4) My wedding currently without incentives and membership rates is at $16,000 and after rates and bridal incentives it drops down to $6,000. These prices include the hotel and airfare. I am trying to keep my wedding under $10,000 and have done great so far. I have booked my decore through Creative my lighting etc through JVSA (their preferred venders) and cut costs where I can to make it a fantastic event. Any other ideas on cutting costs would be great!

    5) The infamous, and whispered about FIRE- DANCERS...... who has them, how do I get them.... cuz I want them for my cockatil reception!!!! LOL. Plus I want to do Chinese wish lanterns (bio degradable ones) you know, if you have seen "The Hangover Part 2" the end of the movie where everyone lights lanterns and watches as they float up into the sky...... yeah I want that too. Anyone know if this is possible? If thats a big "negatory" who said no- "Miami"? Cuz then I want to bring them down with me to the resort and press my luck there! lol

Thanks so much with your answers and if anyone needs to know anything- let me know, Ill try to help the best I can. Thank so much ladies and congrats to everyone!!!!

Hey, were you able to keep your cost under 10K?

I'm trying to figure out what to bring with us for decor?. We're getting married at the Hard Rock in April 2014, and they've given us vendor info for decorations but they are both pricey. I know it would be cheaper to get the decorations here at home and bring it with us but will they let us use it? Will they let us set it up? Or will the resort charge us to set it up? Does anyone know?

Hey are they letting you bring your own decor?

I have so many, but my main concern is the cost...i would like to keep this at a reasonable price for me and my guest. how nice are the decorations they hotel offers with the free reception? i am having more than 80 guests and would def qualify for this...i'm not looking for fancy decorations just for my guest to have the best time EVER...

also, is an all inclusive hotel, what type of liquor is served?

  8. Hi Everyone!

I am getting married on June 22, 2013 at the Hard Rock Punta Cana! My finance and I can't wait especially since we are FINALLY having the destination wedding we have always wanted. We have been together for 10 years now and also said we would have a destination wedding when it was our turn to get married. I'm sad to say, once I got the ring the "wedding" took on a life of it's own and before you know it my family had talked us into a 300 person wedding for Sept of 2012! Since our families were helping with costs of the wedding we didn't want to disappoint anyone UNTIL we just couldn't take it anymore. None of that traditional wedding planning was us and the wedding was turning into your "cookie cutter" wedding. We finally told our families and to our surprise they understood and jumped right on board with our destination wedding plans (even those who had previously disagreed with our decision)! I think they could tell I didn't like planning the traditional wedding. A destination wedding is perfect for my Fiance and I...and The Hard Rock Punta Cana was just our style! and I have to say so far the planning process has been great! I have already been poking around the website and found it useful from the first post I read so Thank You!!smile159.gif(and I'm ALREADY obsessed with the smiley faces lol)

Hey Congrats, how was it at the HR? i'm planning to get married in 2015 there but need to narrow down specifics.

    thanks,
