  1. I have been working with a travel agent for group room blocks and finally got in contact by Palace Resorts. Has anyone worked with Lula Muniz from Palace Resorts? Thoughts or insight on how things worked out with her?

     

    I was expecting to hear from someone in their MIA office since I read on here that you get assigned with their agents and don't work with the actual coordinatiors in Mexico until your there.

    When she called it was a MX phone number.

  2. for those that made Boarding Pass invitations.   how many invites did you make? and how much did it cost you to make them?

     

     

    We will need about 25-35 invitations.. 

     I'm trying to see if its worth making them ourselves or if I can find someone on etsy or other to make them. 

    If its only going to cost a little more money on etsy then I might have them do it since I don't have much down time.

     

     

    also those who have made them, where did you get your background pictures used for them?

  3. I'm kinda stressing on this. On traveling with all of it and the overall cost.   Our wedding guest count is at least 60 people maybe a little more.

     

    I originally was planning on doing OOT bags for each room and maracas as favors.

     

    I made the maraca tags already.  when I shown them to my fiance he looked at me confused on why we are giving favors.

    We just went to a wedding a few months ago in Mexico and they did not do gift bags, favors or anything.   We also, went to a wedding here in the US and they did not do any favors as well.    Most weddings I have gone to in the past always had favors or used photos from photobooth as favors..

     

    Are we expected to give these?  Or is this more common now a days not to?

     

     

    I already got the tags and made 4 OOT bags with a great deal I got thru Vista print.   To save $ I was thinking of maybe just giving our wedding party OOT bags instead of all the guests and still doing the maracas as favors.  Does this sound okay?

  4. I don't see an official Moon Palace thread.   I have many questions...

     

    wondering if you all could tell me what locations/terraces they do ceremonies, cocktail parties, receptions and other private events at?

    Also, if any of you have pictures of these areas

     

    I heard that some locations you have to pay extra fee per person (example if you have your reception on the beach).  Is this true?  If so, which locations charge an extra fee and how much?

     

    Also, we are having about 60-70 guests.  I know they charge extra over the wedding package count.  We are keeping our fingers crossed to qualify for the Free Unlimited Events.   Just wondering even if we qualify for it does some of the event locations have a limit on how many people it can hold there?

     

    For the unlimited events or private events do you have any suggestions on food...

     

    Also,  can you book the complementary wedding, but add on one of the other décor packages for the reception only?

     

     

     

     

     

  5. we love the Moon Palace and are hoping this will be the resort we will have our wedding at.  I have sent in request from them for info a while ago, but still have not heard back.   Other resorts responded right away.  

    Does anyone have a contact or email address for the wedding department/cordinators for the Moon Palace?

     

    or does anyone have info they can send me on current prices for extra things you can add on to your wedding packages

     

  6. we finally think we have our date and resort choices.  June 23, 2015  hopefully at the Moon Palace in Cancun.

     

    I was wondering if anyone can recomend a good travel agency to work with.    I live in the Fort Worth area of Texas. 

     

    Really need to find one that specializes in destination weddings and large groups.  We will be having about 60+ guests and 4 kids...

  7. I just have a question regarding the free private events offer from Palace resorts.

    I know it says unlimited events free up to 3hrs.   Cocktail & reception.

     

    my questions are for those who have done this:

     

    1)   can you have an event each day you are there or is this just one cocktail and one reception?

    I'm wanting to have a cocktail welcome party one night.  Then the private reception.  plus a cocktail send off party

     

    2) When they say free do they mean the fee cost for having a private event  is waived or does it also include the include food/drinks for free?

     

    3). If you have more than 30 guests do they charge you extra for those guest over regular wedding package count during a qualified FREE Private event?

     

    4).  how far in advance will you know you qualify for the "Free Event" or do they just wait until after all checked in and refund you later.

     

    5) how far in advance can you book your free events?

     

     

    also when you do a room block or group code for your wedding -  does all the guests need to stay the same amount of days or check in same day?

    I heard some resorts require that.  Really don't want that since I know some of our guests want to stay 5 nts, 7nts and 10nts

     

    sorry for all the questions, just little stressed.  We are having at least 40 min guests, plus 3 kids (ages 12-16) that are going and maybe more.
