  1. Thank you ladies! Yes @@marinah84 I'm sure I saved a lot of money by doing it myself, but it was a lot of time! I'm so picky about what the design that I wanted to do it all myself. Slightly controlling I guess Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade

  3. Hello!! I'm getting down to the wire now with the wedding and I wanted to start a planning thread to help me keep my head straight! My wedding is on November 21, 2014. First off, my fiancé and I have been together nearly 9 years and we have an 18 month old daughter. We met several years ago while we were both working at the same restaurant and I guess you could say the rest is history! Shortly after our daughter was born we decided to make it official and get married. A destination wedding just made sense because we wanted a small, intimate ceremony. We only invited close, mutual friends and immediate family. We have 16 people attending the wedding. My OOT bags were by far the most work for my wedding. We ordered these bags off of vistaprint with a coupon. They ended up just a little 3.00 a piece. I designed that myself so you won't find that particular logo on their website! I made oh s$*t kits and survival kits for the bags. These are made out of cardstock labels I made at home and ziplock baggies. Oh Sh*t Kits: Lens Wipes shout wipes Nail polish remover wipes Insect repellent wipes Sewing kit Bobby pins Safety pins Survival kits: Aloe Chapstick Crystal light Dramamine Ibuprofen Antacid Anti-diarrheal Kleenex I also put a small first kit in the bags as well. I just put a custom label on it. I also have the following to go in the bags: Gum Puzzle books Wet wipes Loofah Playing cards I made key card holders as well... I made small pockets to go in the bags to keep all the paper stuff together... I ordered the pockets online. They're just an invitation pocket and then filled it with stuff I made. I either ordered all my items from vistaprint or printed them at home. I added a photoshare card for an app were using called WedPics and a sticky note pad that I was able to get from vistaprint for free with another order. I made small bouquets to go on the chairs as aisle markers that I'll be taking down with me as well. And I'm taking chair sashes, table runners, and about 30 vases for the tables. I have paper lanterns to light and hang. We're doing our reception by the pool so I wanted the extra light. The vases will fill with water beads and also be lit to help light the table! I need to construct my programs still. I will continue to add to this post as I get stuff done!! Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  4. Ok ladies. I sent it. I am packing a toddler so it's a little larger than yours probably needs to be Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  5. Meg32il I will try and post my packing list later today. Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  6. This website has been paramount to my planning. As we finalize our contract and get closer and closer I just keep reflecting on the past year. I seriously cannot imagine having it done all without this forum! We're down to 42 days now and most the work is done. Time to get excited! Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  7. How many people are you thinking? Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  8. We're going this route as well. Using the guitarist for the ceremony was important to me because I LOVE guitar and my family all play. So we're using the bose for the cocktail hour and reception hour. Saved us 675 dollars. Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  9. Nala2009 yes. Meg sent one to me in English that is much more manageable. What is your email? Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade

  13. @@Meg32IL I have the guitarist song list. I'll try to post it here. Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  14. Is the BOSE soundlink pretty loud? We're having our reception at the pool...so I worry about it getting drowned out. But I also struggle with the extra money for a sound system with so few people Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  15. Music is one thing I have left still to decide. I can't decide if I should use my guitarist for the cocktails or ceremony...I haven't chosen any songs yet for either! My concern is if I don't use the guitarist for the cocktail hour will there not be any music there? Or can I switch the sound system and the guitarist? Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  16. I know! I'm having the small group problem as well. We're just going to do one long table. So I didn't think placecards were worth it. I'm thinking of doing our first dance first, immediately following the start of the reception after we arrive. Having our dance. Our photographer is leaving an hour into our reception, so I want to do all the noteworthy stuff early on. I've been debating if I think that is too weird or not though. 6:00 arrive and have first dance 6:10 dance with parents and mingle until dinner at 6:30. Cake at 7:30. And then hang out and dance some until 9? Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade @@A7Xtrish where are you having your reception? Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
  17. @@A7Xtrish those are adorable! We didn't do placecards since we only have 17 people! Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade

  21. Are you using your guitarist for the cocktail hour? I can't decide if I want to use it for the ceremony or cocktails... Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade Anyone planning on using water beads in their centerpieces? Seems like an easy, lightweight way to fill vases and things. Anne Marie November 21, 2014-Now Jade
