  1. @@Giocivs88 yes all the little extras such as linens, chairs etc are NOT included so it can cost a small fortune. It would be as much as hosting a wedding a home maybe more cause the price list is steep. @@Sabes44 my timeline affords us about 1.5-2 hrs. For 20 pp I think it's nuts to pay essentially for 650 an hour for if you focus on post dinner.
  2. @giocvs88 we aren't getting a dj after all. I think the fire show will have more impact. Assuming it starts after dinner the show would finish around 9:45 and the dj would only be hired til 11 so for an hour of mixing that seems a bit nuts to us. We will make playlists for the dinner time and our bride and groom dance etc
  3. Hi ladies I seem to recall someone is doing a fire show. We are thinking of doing the same rather than get a dj. The way we see it, dj is getting paid to work 4 hours we will have pir first dance as soon as we arrive shortly after 7 dinner will start around 7:30 and probably take 1.5 so that brings us to 9. We also plan to do a Piñata so paying 1300 for essentially 2 hours seems crazy and so were leaning towards doing a fire show for the wow effect. I was wondering if anyone knew how long the show lasts? 30 min is my guess? And was hoping for some feedback on our thought process. Thks ladies[emoji1] Oh I forgot to mention our group is only 20 and a third aren't big dancers
  4. Hi MrsKtobe Thanks so much for the heads up on bagiva! I was wondering where you got the bag printed?
  5. @@HNeal Tequila in the shot glasses awesome! Did you provide her with any photos since your centrepieces were small? Also did you happen to have candles? If so did the wind blow them out?
  6. @SusanMarie13 such a sweet pic! FYI I have a friend getting married in July at the Azul Sensatori. He's been before and loved it! We both work in high end dining and he loved the food, so if you have any foodies rest assured they will be happy and its set up as a family resort. You should check the board
  7. @@JenniferH114 awesome! 2 more questions ps, did you switch just the entree or the entire courses for your reception? And lastly will you have music in the foyer during your private dinner? lol! you're so fast! No just curious
  8. @@JenniferH114 Thanks! The menus look great! I think I might go this route as well. Any additional fees I should know about?
  9. So if you're doing a welcome dinner how much is it per person? I asked Gloria and she said it would be an extra 25 per guest to add a tail. I've been emailing Gloria but no answers of late.. Where did you buy the sashes from? And you're doing a private dinner in the foyer correct? Any chance you would email the private dinner options? my email is [email protected]
  10. @@JenniferH114 what meal did you choose? My fiance's family are dairy farmers so they like their beef however I know my mom she likes her steak beyond well done, so I'm hesitating... any suggestions? Also did you get your organza covers via your package? I think their included in the gold
  11. @@JenniferH114 I was wondering about your centre pieces... gorgeous! Do you know how many days in advance you will have the vases so they can be put together? How many are you renting? I can't recall if you're doing round or rectangle tables? Most importantly, are you concerned about the candle blowing out due to the wind? I'm hesitating on the set up for fear the candles might be a problem
  12. @@HNeal Thank you for your last post, it really helped. We were sold on the pier, the fact that you said its actually more difficult to get a wheel chair there than the beach is key (we thought it would be the other way) in addition to no shade which might be difficult for my future Father in law who will be in the wheel chair and quite weak as a result of the Parkinsons, Big thks!! We opted for the gold package and at this point, I'm quite confused what xtra decor that entails? If you would happen to know that would be great! Also in terms of the meals, I noticed you chose 2, what were they and would you maintain the same choice?
  13. @ JenniferH114 thks for the email, you would think the floor would be well kept since people walk around barefoot
  14. @@JenniferH114 and @@Sabes44 Yes thank you both so much ladies!!! I hate to say it but after while I just want the day to come and bit rid of the planning, cause its all on me... I would love to see pics of the foyer, my hesitation is that its just too big for such a small group and we'll get lost in it, hence it'll feel like a banquet hall, which is a no no! On that note, did you happen to notice if the wood floor is safe for heals? Are there cracks? And lastly, I would really appreciate receiving the emails that Jessica quoted you 4/vase and 60 for the decor, I was quoted a 100 and 5/vase. Ugh!! Well its mexico after all
  15. @@Sabes44 Tadda! it worked! Its so sweet and for 60 bucks that's a no brainer! I think my choice is made las Olas is it is! Although you said, now I've forgotten who said, the foyer is beautiful that is so sweet and intimate. I love it!!
  16. @@JenniferH114 so the pastry chef is going to let her in the kitchen to decorate it? Did you happen to get any pictures of the vases? I don't want to assume they have something and then be suprised
  17. @JennferH1114 so how are you bringing down all the vases for your centrepieces? And how is your mom able to make your wedding cake at the resort? I'm obviously missing something.
  18. @@Sabes44 do you plan on going to the disco is your wedding dress? @@Sabes44 and @JenniferH114I I like the idea of the welcome dinner in the foyer. Never thought about that... I would love to see pics of the table setting your planning. If you prefer to keep it private, my email is [email protected]. So what about lighting ladies? Lanterns? xmas lights? etc.. What have you chosen as a centrepiece? I prefer little vases along the table rather than one gargantuan floral focal point.
  19. @@Sabes44 do you mean go out to the disco after dinner? How many will you be? And I know this might be a weird question but is there a bathroom close by? My future father in law will most likely be in a wheel chair by then, hence why we chose the pier
  20. @@JenniferH114 Thks for the input. I'm so behind! I've been sick with sinusitus for 3 weeks and its really hard to focus! I was curious, why did you chose las Olas for your reception? How many guests will you be having and will you have a dj? Will there be room to dance? I'm not sure if we will have a dj yet, our group is only at 18 so far. I was thinking las Olas for the cocktail hour, however I like what I've seen in the pictures of los Olas it seems like a mini lobster house which was my first choice but our group is too small. We have decided to get married on the pier and I would appreciate any other suggestion you might have for the reception? My FI is always running hot so I'm thinking the foyer might not be the best place for him.
  21. @@HNeal Hi again, I was wondering about the hanging decor. You mentioned the fee was 60 to hang your lanterns and papel picolo. On that note, did you puts lights inside the lanterns or just left them as is? What about the dinner table? Who was responsible for setting it up? I noticed you had small but vases all along, how many did you have for the table? Was it part of a particular arrangement? Thanks again Julie
  22. Hi this message is for MrsHK. I was hoping to connect with you about your wedding rentals. Thks!
