Here is one of my fav's:

"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
    — Marilyn Monroe

I love quotes as well. I like that one.

I don't think so. However, even if they were so what, it's YOUR day. If you wanted polka dots and stripes you're allowed b/c it's all about you. LOL. I like Tiffany Blue and coral. Just my opinion.

I picked the Celeste at first, but I meant to choose the Rosalie. Any thoughts? I could PM my dress so that you would have full information!

I'm willing to offer my opinion if you want to PM a pic of your dress.

I saw that veil on another site and added it to my collection to follow up on. I'm glad you found it. I'll keep looking b/c lord know I'm not spending 700 on a veil. LOL

I've heard of this forum but never visited it. I'm going to check it out. Thanks MrsPeel2B

  6. I know how I want to wear my hair and I know I absolutely do NOT want to wear weave. I'm also natural, my hair falls to the top my bra strap. I'm trying to get about 4 more inches by April. I wanted to post a pic of how I want my hair but realized I'm no where near the 150 post . I know everyone is saying we shouldn't worry b/c Dominican hair is similar to ours. However, we can't assume all Dominican stylist know how to do hair just like not all AA stylist know how to do hair. Decisions, decisions......

I also had a braided style so, that's alot different than say, an up do. I haven't even thought about how or what I want to do to my hair. How good are you at styling your own hair? what about your bridesmaids?

I get Dominican blowouts from time to time so I asked my stylist who does them and she said I shouldn't have any problems getting my hair styled the way I want even by resort stylist. I'm just a little apprehensive leaving something so major up to chance. Iâ€m not having any bridesmaids and the female guest attending the wedding could probably fix but not do my hair (for the wedding). Yes, I know how I want my hair. I'll try and post a pic shortly.
  8. Who did you use to style your hair? I really want to wear my own hair (as opposed to weave) but I'm skeptical of the resort stylist. Has anyone had any good experiences with a stylist in the DR? If so, who? Where are they located? And if possible can you post pics. For my planning brides, have you figured out who you will use to style your hair? HELP PLEASE!!!!! feedback.gif

    Thank you for replying!

OMG!!!! I thought our 500 fee was high but 1000, sheesh. These resorts do their darndest to keep all the money in house. My finace and I chose the complimentary package at our resort and I wanted to bring in our own sashes (for the chairs) and line the aisle with luminaries but I was told it would be an additional 200. Needless to say I scrapped that idea. I was happy to know I can have programs and fans placed on our guestâ€s seat with no additional charge.
