  1. Awe sorry you are having a bad day. Just let everyone else talk and do what's right for you and your FI, can't make everyone happy! Sorry, I don't know how to quote multiples (I'm on an iPad), but I LOVE rollerblading. You wouldn't catch me running, unless there was like a cupcake or something I really wanted at the finish line . I know it's not for everyone but its a great workout to tone your legs and butt! My best friend was horrible at it and couldn't stop so she always had to run into the back of me haha. I just had another weigh in. I am 5.3lbs down since 5/31!!! I rollerblades 5 miles today. S thankful the sun is out again! I am thinking about doing Herbalife teas to supplement my metabolism and weight loss...has anyone tied Herbalife products? Hope you ladies are having a great wedding! Part of me is wishing I didn't plan to have a wedding on the BEACH!!! What was I thinking? I miss nachos, burgers and fries and everything else with flavor...LOL. Just kidding. I am allowing myself one cheat day a week, and everything I'm eating is actually yummy and I feel fuller faster!
  2. It's been raining every day here!!!! My workout of choice is rollerblading on the bike path we have here. I havent done squat. Had a migraine yesterday, so i couldn't go to the gym. I really despise doing the elliptical....i have no motivation...i want to put on my skates and just GO! I wish i had one of those videos to borrow from someone. Maybe if i put out feelers on FB someone will have it haha. I also live on the third floor, but there is a parking garage is below me - so i can jump as much as i want haha. PLEASE STOP RAINING!
  3. I just read every page of this thread and it was SO HELPFUL!!! We went from inviting close family and friends to UNINVITING everyone! People were already complaining of cost, etc even though our wedding is 13 months out. We also decided after reading this thread, we do not want to be entertaining people all week. We also decided on a TTD photoshoot off site it was still a great help even though we are eloping - thanks so much ladies!
  4. i tried to stay away from DB after my friends dress cost 649...then 975 after "alterations". I couldn't believe that this is how much it costs to raise a hem! INSANE. I had my own experience at alfred angelo this weekend. I only went in intending to try on a style as i was going to order the dress through a shop that INCLUDES alterations (and they price match! So im waiting for the next sale at AA to actually finish the purchase)! Unfortunately i picked a higher price point than i wanted (for the dress), but im happy that i dont have to worry about the added cost of alterations, esp since i've been losing weight! The entire wedding industry is absolutely ridiculously expensive. I would also suggest to shop around, look at the seamstresses work and maybe even try to find someone word of mouth! Good luck!
  5. So my wedding is July 2014, i too am looking to lose weight! My FI is also trying to lose weight as well (although he isnt fat at all!). I am a size 12, and as of now my dress size is 14 . We have totally changed our eating habits, i have been rollerblading DAILY 4 miles, but i just kicked it up to 6 miles yesterday! In almost 14 days of eating better and working out, i have already seen a 3.6lb weight loss! I was told by the dress shop, that i should buy the dress the size i am now since it is easier to take it in rather then order smaller and god forbid it didn't fit. I'm pretty curvy anyways in the hips and chest, so they usually have to purchase for the largest part anyways. Is there any truth to this? I need to purchase before sept as i am in a very demanding degree program and i wont have time for anything wedding related till next may when i graduate. Happy to have found this thread. Keep up the good work everyone!!! Summer is a hard time with the empty calories due to drinking and all the cookouts!
  6. Booked sandals negril for our weddingmoon! 7 nights, millionaire honeymoon penthouse suite with ocean view, with a butler! In addition to the air credit we also received a free couples massage in the room rate!
  7. Good point, i guess it doesn't really matter! Hope you have an amazing wedding day!
  8. I am on a tight schedule, so the only available time to book my wedding was in the month of July. Right now, the wedding is booked for 4pm. I know its going to be unbearably hot, but im more worried about rain. Does it rain daily in July in Jamaica? Should i move the wedding to an earlier time in the day? I don't mind moving the wedding but i was hoping to have twilight beach shots are the sun goes down and the closer the wedding to that timeframe the better. I can't imagine wanting to stay in my wedding dress from like 10am-9pm LOL. Plus, my makeup and hair would look like crap. I know when i talk to the WC, they are located in Miami and haven't been much help. Anyone have any experience? Thanks in advance
  9. Hi everyone! I'm new here and just booked my wedding at Sandals Negril in July 2014. My first phone meeting with Nina is in August, so I'm attempting to compile a list of questions now. I am super scared about having photography done by sandals photographers. I am a pretty low key bride but the ONLY thing I care about is amazing photos to look back on! I see that they now offer outside photographers that they contract with. I'm wondering if anyone has used them and if they were decently priced? My wedding is booked for 4pm (couldn't justify a $600 fee for a wedding 1 1/2 hours later). I might be making it earlier because I am reading that it rains every afternoon in July I really really wanted some sort of sunset photoshoot which also makes things tricky... If I use sandals can they do two different sets of photos? Obv an outside photog won't be there all day, prob only a few hours. Decisions decisions! Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!!!
