No, I guess they don't have to match but I would like them to make sense together... if that makes sense. The reason I came up with the bracelets was because I found the tie clips. I don't have the bracelets yet so I could figure something else out. Thanks

Yeah - If I don't go with ties I have two dilemmas 1- What do I get for the guys to send with the girl's flower clips? 2- What extra thing can I get our Dads instead of the tie clips I already have (and sort of 3 - if I don't do the mother of pearl tie clips for the Dads I might need something different for the Moms as I was planning on doing mother of pearl bracelets to match... *sigh* hehe) Anyone have any suggestions I'm all ears : )

Norwegian Dawn is the ship from Boston. I have never done it.. We looked into doing it last year but ended up doing something else instead. I want to do a cruise and my FI would rather not fly if we don't have (although we do all the time) So I thought a cruise we don't have to fly to might be good!

Yeah I wasn't sure about the all white thing.. I still think its a little weird to ask everyone to wear white to my wedding - but I since making up my mind about it, I have looked at bunches of all white wedding party pics and think they do look nice. I'm a big accessories person so I figured if anyone wanted to add some accessories I'd have them use Yellow. I think it is a color that will pop a little with the white but not be too "look at me" in the pics. I am actually sending out some "dress code" packages - the girl are getting little yellow Plumeria flower bobby pins and I am undecided about what to give the guys - all along I have thought I'd do ties.. I actually even found ones that I really like. But now I don't know if my FI is going to be wearing a tie... I don't want anyone to be hot and uncomfortable : ( I was thinking about doing pocket squares instead - but I don't know if that looks good (to have a pocket square and no tie) Plus, I really wanted to do something extra for our parents... I found these really nice mother of pearl tie clips for our Dads and plan to get mother of pearl bracelets for our Moms. So if I decide on no ties - I will need to come up with something else for our Dads and return the clips (but I really like them). Maybe the ties will be okay - its not like the ceremony will be very long and as soon as pictures are over they can take the ties off.... right? I haven't seen it in any pics but I actually kind of like the image of all the guys with ties except my FI - In a way I think the lack of tie will be a focal point... Oy! I just don't know - I must say that I know doing a Destination is way less stressful then me doing a "regular" wedding .. I can't imagine if I had to make all the "regular" choices HHAHA

I think Teal and Fuchsia are great! I am sure will be able to find plenty of wonderful things in those colors to use for your wedding! Between Gray and White - Since this is for a beach setting I think the White would be better - It will be fresh and bright - a great Pop with the other colors. I would vote Gray in certain situations also because I think either would work! Just my opinion : ) I think whatever you pick will be lovely!

Awesome! There are a lot of restaurants in Arlington for sure... I haven't been to many of them, but I hear there are lots of good ones. Oh - good weather this weekend would be amazing.. this humidity is a killer : ( btw - your honeymoon sounds Fabulous!

This was part of the original conversation my FI and I had - but then I have been indecisive about it --- I think there are are ups and downs. I just started working with a TA - I will see what types of options she throws my way. One questions she asked me to help her figure out if I should go somewhere different (this is assuming guest will be staying at the resort after your wedding) was "are they high maintenance" She suggested if they are to go somewhere new after the wedding so you can enjoy your time with your new husband on your honeymoon.

I just wish they had a lighter brown or even manly tropical colors haha- I think idk ... hahaha If I use them they will go in the Welcome bags. I am defiantly asking everyone to wear white/ light beige to the wedding - honestly I really don't want anyone to stick out in the pics : ) and there are so many shades of every color that I didn't want to go with something like blue .. I figured shades of white are safe. Plus, I don't have a bridal party so I want everyone to feel and look like they are part of the wedding not just guest at it.

I'm just down the road in Arlington! Everyone has heard of Boston so I usually use that for everything : ) And yes I think Winter is the best time to go on a tropical vacation!! Oh okay - I plan on making mine two months after I send the invites - which will be 10 months before my wedding HAHa I think that sounds crazy - but I have a reason... I was just curious what your time frame was.

Well I am glad that you were able to come up with a decent compromise : ) Its actually funny because I wanted the 12th as my date and couldn't have it - resulting in me having to pick a different day - which happens to be a Wed. I promise to enjoy my Wed. if you promise to enjoy your 12th ; ) LOL

Oh I defiantly get wanting your own children there!! I don't have any so I guess it was less of a must for me. They had dark brown, black, dark blue, white and grey for men's flip flops. I was so undecided on the colors. I ended up getting a mix of brown, blue, and black. I was able to get 10 pairs (only need 9) so I grabbed one pair of white as well. I didn't particularly like the grey ones - the white ones were kind of my favorite but I am having everyone wear white to the wedding and I didn't want them to think I was saying they MUST wear those.... Oy.. I just don't know LOL

I'm curious how long did you give your guest to RSVP from the time you sent your invites?

I decided fairy quickly that I wanted to have my wedding at a Sandals - although I have never been to one. I really like the ease of the website, you can see all the options and it really seems like there are no hidden charges. All inclusive is a must and they seem to really include so much. I actually was looked at Turks at first... I have always wanted to go there. I changed my mind about having my wedding there because it is a Beaches. All you girls are so nice picking places that are family friendly to accommodate your guest!! I have a few couples with kids. I really wasn't sure what kind of response I was going to get when I told them Adults Only. I am very lucky that I got a very positive response from all the parents! They actually all Thanked me for "making" them go on an awesome vacation without their kids.
