  1. Just stop telling him about stuff and sneaking it in when he isn't looking!! Thats what I do
  2. Welll... that is a good question! I think I will make the dates the 21st - 24th --- The wedding is on the 22nd so obviously this day will be taken up with the wedding - reception- pictures - after party (thinking about getting fire dancers) I know I will be doing a cocktail hour - just not sure when yet. I am thinking about doing a group excursion ... either one were I buy tickets for everyone.. but I'm afraid some people might not want to do it. so i was also thinking maybe just booking one for us and letting people know if they want to join they can get tickets. I will probably do this for lunch or dinner on the 23rd (just tell everyone where we will be and if they want to join us come at a specific time) -- anything like this I will have planned ahead of time - I just don't know yet. For the most part I don't want to have too many things planned for everyone because I want them to be able to enjoy the trip in whatever way they want. Since it is AI I'm not worried about having to entertain everyone. Sandals includes lots of activities they can take advantage of plus there are tons of things to check out on the island OR they can just take their tumblers to the pool bar and enjoy hahahahaha I do know that I will be giving them welcome bags the day they arrive - wedding bags on the wedding day - and departure bags the day they leave : ) The three nights is actually a Sandals thing... if anyone didn't want to stay three nights I would have just had to pay a little extra for some of the things I will get included because they are all staying three nights. Most everyone is staying longer and noone had an issue with the 3 nights so it worked out well for me
  3. I just checked out the website from the link -- Im on my laptop.
  4. Update to a Question I asked a few pages ago..... I stopped by Dollar Tree today to see if they happened to get anymore Purple tumblers in. They DID I got the amounted I needed Yippy! So now I have all of them that I need. Anyways, back to my point. . . . I asked the manager there if I was to purchases stuff online and didn't up needed the amount that I had to buy because of the case quantities, could I return it to the store. You can't actually return anything to the store (even purchases you made at the store) you can only do a merchandise exchanges... she said that YES you can exchange things you bought on line for stuff in the store! Wanted to pass that along to you all : )
  5. YAY!! I am so excited that your FI loved the idea!! I would definitely get one tumbler per person so everyone can use them to keep their drinks like and cold!!
  6. I think boarding pass invites are really cute... but part of me feels bad that someone might think I sent them a real ticket until they realize what it is HAHA I am doing a message in a bottle attached to the favors. Most everything else that everyone will get will be the same message to everyone - because it will be general info that needs to be the same or things that I plan on using corny wording for .. so again all the same. So I am using the bottle messages as a way of giving each person a personal message. I will write the ones to my family and my FI to his. I will put a little sand in them from the beach once I get down there - I'll include that in the note in hopes that they keep it as a keepsake if they want. If not no biggy I guess. Favors for your AHR is cute! Maybe you can bring home some sand to put in them so then all your guest will have a piece of your wedding even if they couldn't make it to your destination
  7. I haven't sent my yet.. but I only plan on sending a little note with it that say "we finally picked a date. . . .(blah blah blah) Brief details about the location (I have already told them Sandals in St. Lucia) so I will include the name of the resort we picked (since there are 3 sandals in St. Lucia) and the MUST stay days... the actually STDs only have the wedding date on them but I'm asking everyone to stay 3 nights (Everyone has told me they plan on saying more nights so) so I will include the nights they have to be there for. I will be following this up with an email with more info. ie: the TA's name and contact info - links to the sandals website and other misc. things I want to let them know at this point. One of the packages I am sending out at a later date will be filled with info about St. Lucia and more specifics info about Sandals. I do not plan on doing a wedding website - this may change who knows hahaha
  8. Oh cool... I will definatly get some brochures! I will check out that website for cameras... I am adding underwater disposables to my welcome bags! Thanks
  9. Oh nice! I think Sandals is the way to go.. So easy to see and pick stuff? Are you going with one of the pre designed packages? I don't have any of the brochures... are they something I should get? I actually thought I requested the wedding one a long time ago... I never got it so maybe I didn't actually request it Hahah
  10. Hmmm... well if nothing else comes up - its a back up - How about a public park or something?
  11. NICE! You are really moving right along with all your projects!!!!
  12. I do actually really like them now.. I looked at them again today and am glad that I got an extra one for myself : )
  13. Thanks : ) I'll post updates as I send out stuff!
  14. I'm with you on that one.. I never gave them a thought - but the peer pressure on here is overwhelming
  15. Oh you have been to Halcyon? I have never actually been there.. or to St. Lucia actually - It looks AMAZING I can't wait to go!
  16. Oh another Sandals Bride! From the brides that I have connected with on here I think I am the only one! I bet your STDs came out great!
  17. They have these really great Tumblers at the Dollar Tree right now. They come in great Colors, have a screw on lid, and the straws have a little bump in them so they can't fall out and get lost : ) I had Tumblers on my "maybe" list of things to add - but I couldn't pass these up. You can easily customize them with a waterproof label! Oh exciting!! A site visit : ) I don't plan on doing one of these as we already have other vacations planned : ( haha I haven't booked my resort yet - will be doing that in the next week or so, I have promised everyone they will know the date by the end of the month (but I don't want to tell them til they receive the STDs) so I need to book and get out the STDs!! However, my TA has already placed a hold on my Date at the resort I want. Sandals, Halcyon in St. Lucia 10.22.14 Yippy! heheh
  18. I am doing exactly this! Everyone will get a Welcome Bag - but I wanted to have some "just in case" items (sun block, feminine products, etc.) and extras ( things like aspirin, tums, etc.)
  19. Hahah I am defiantly one of those "going over board brides" when it comes to these things... I am adding a few things that my guest might have packed anyways but I am really trying to include stuff that they might not think to pack. I do think that just a nice welcome letter is a cute way to greet your guest when they first get to the location. A couple of brides on here that I have been sharing ideas with are doing something really cute and simple like a tumbler for each person stuffed with things like individual packs of aspirin, tums, pepto, aloe (I am including this in mine - I feel like most people will remember sun screen but not aloe, just in case) etc. You can find all of those things for cheap (if you want places to get them I can help). Just a thought! Lori - I see you are right around your 1 year to go mark!!! How is all your planning going?? Shugapop - Where and When is your wedding?? (if you don't mind me asking haha) Congrats to you both : )
