It is my understanding, from this forum and other brides who HAVE brought someone from the states or anywhere else, that as long as they are included as a guest of your wedding that there are no consequences. In my inquiry, I mentioned to HDC that I would have to speak the BBPD to verify their policy on external photographers. HDC replied back saying that BBPD does allow outside photographers but they charge a fee of $1000. This could be simply because they don't want to lose business from us, but even still, I was leaning more towards flying someone out from my local NYC area for a couple of days. My TA confirmed I was able to bring my photographer from home with NO extra fees. He is staying as a guest. This better not all of a sudden change. Or they shouldn't give different information to different brides. They should know we all talk! -

But a lot of brides are choosing the infinity dresses which can be changed into many different styles to each bridesmaid's preference. How many bridesmaids do you have? Maybe you can pick out like 5 different dresses (different styles and materials) and then let your bridesmaid choose. That way you can control the color (the right color yellow). Just a suggestion. Thought about it. But I don't think the fiance will be on board. I like the idea of different styles but he fi didn't even like the idea of the boys wearing different style bow ties. Haha. Groomzilla!

The bride had like 15 bridesmaids. It was beautiful. I don't know if I could ever pull something off like that. It's pretty ballsy. I've been back and forth on this for so long already. I originally wanted the sweetheart floor length dresses but SO MANY brides from my home town have chosen them. And now that I think of it, it just doesn't follow my theme anyways. Back to the drawing board for me!

Hey ladies. I finally got my confirmation email from Hildrabranda WOOHOO! Definitely more excited. I wanted to ask you ladies about the "decor" pictures they send you. There is one of the bar higuey that has white draping every where and even white couches. Did any of you ladies see that? And do any of you ladies know if it's extra and how much? It looked STUNNING. But I know everything comes with a price. -

Tropical Pictures at the hotel is so pricey for the amount of coverage (time) and photos they give you, its ridiculous. Fiance and I really wanted very style of photographer and tropical pictures wasn't it. It was a great decision because he also did a engagement/save the date/family photo shoot and then in punta cana will do a trash the dress/wedding day/my son's birthday as he will be turning 5 the day after our wedding. Well worth what we are paying to bring him out. -

A day or two before and at least a day after to do some extra pictures. -
