I would like to do a symbolic at Majestic Colonial ( it will be my 20th anni vow renewal). If she is on this board could you have her messge me, I would love to pick her brain.

I would like tp recant my statement about stomach issues, the reviews After looking more closely, are from a while ago and the newer ones raved about the food. Majestic here we come.

Ok, I have looked further into this resort, come to find out the reviews that stated stomache issues were from awhile ago and the more recent ones rave about the food. DazeyDawl, Thank you for getting me to look closer, a great resort may have dismissed unecessarily!

After looking at the dates of travels for the reviews we were reading, we found out they were older and the newer ones did nothing but compliment the food so I think we are back in business. We are planning the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana! Love this place. Glad we looked further.

Hi Ladies!!! Love this thread, so many great ideas and now a few things I will be leaving out of my bag, thanks for the tips. I am going back and forth on the type of bags to use. My Bro in Law and Sis in law did a dw in Mex and gave out beach bags so everyone has one already. She owns an embroidery company so she did them herself they are fantastic. I was thinking of going with drawstring back packs. One per family and having them screenprinted. Her brother owns the screenprinting side so major help there. I wanted to put something personal for each family and have thier names put on one side of them. Last names and first initials or something like that. I have not decided how I am going to do that part yet. My sister says I am being to detailed and I will drive myself crazy, so I am thinking of forgetting the personalization of the bag and putting it on the passport book that will be attached to each one. Would you be more likly to like something personalized like the bags or not? If you could give me your input that would be great! I have 16 possible bags to make. And my screen printer, because he is family will get it done for me in the schedule I want and need so timing would not be an issue. <--- I just think he is cute and wanted to put him in, hehe

July 2014 vow renewal bride here!!! I have been planning for over a year now. I first planned on a cruise wedding, then it was thought that to make our guests take a whole week off of work, plus the cost of the cruise plus everything they would need to spend there would be too much to ask sooooo, we have changed to an all inclusive wedding staying a few days extra for ourselves. Now to find the right place. I found one I loved then saw that many guests have had stomach problems there. Ugh. I have no idea what I am doing now. Some of the AI resorts are very expensive.

Hello Ladies! I am very early in the planning stages and am looking at Azul Sensatori and Azul the Fives. We are doing our vow renewal and have had several hiccups along the way, but these are 2 of my top 7. All of them have what I need and what I want well for the most part. Anyway. Can you ladies tell me if you looked at the 5s and why you chose this one over the other? Thanks, boy this is a way harder decision that I ever thought it would be.

I don't know if it is compareable but Adults all inclusive Excellence resorts are fabulous!!!! We went to a DW at excellence and had a fantastic time! Not too crowded and the service and the way they handled the entire event was fantastic.

I found my answer And I am stealing another bride's idea~ I am putting lifesaver in the for as long as we both shall live. And as for an update, we are probably changing location, many stomach issues reported at Majestic. Could be many reasons but all in all, I think we will be chosing differently.

Hi everyone! Newbie here, of course in need of some help. Kinda long winded, sorry! Backstory: My DH and I are planning to renew our vows for our 20th July 2014. The original plan was to do the Boston to Bermuda cruise. I had everything planned out and set. Ceremony, music, OOT bags with welcome book, website info, precruise meeting, travel arrangements to ship and back, reception, preceremony activites, flowers, dress- everything. It was brought to my attention that requesting the financials and the time needed for a week long cruise would be alot to ask of people so we started looking at all inclusives. My Brother in law and now sister in law did one in Mexico and it was beautiful. So I went about finding a place. And I found one I liked, scratch that loved. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana DR. It had everything I was looking for. After some research, I came to find out that there were alot of stomach issues in the reviews. It has been said it could be caused by a few things, the water or the malaria shots taken by some guests and some said the food but I take those reviews at face value as we all have different tolerances. Anyways, when my DH saw the same thing, the location was nixed. My heart sank... again! So Cruise, out. Dom Rep, out. Mexico, last resort as we have already had a family wedding there. Any help in finding a place ould be so helpful so I am picking your brains for ideas. Here are some of the things I want in my location: All inclusive Beach or non beach option Palm Trees ( easiest one) Kids allowed ( we have kids randing from 12 mo to 18 yrs so far) with kids clubs swim up bar ( just love these) swim up rooms (if we can) can accomodate 40 people I am inviting with 25 family I know for sure that will be attending great excursions ( family and guests will be there for 5 days and my dh and I are staying a total of 10) Rates around 220-250 a night. great entertainment. Ok so I was thinking of having my dest vow renewal in Dom Republic, but the resort I looked at ( Majestic Colonial Punta Cana) was showing many reviews about stomach issues. I kept digging aand it seems like all travellers to Dom Rep run the risk. I do not want my guests getting ill. Has anyone been to Dom Rep or better yet, Majestic Colonial and had any experience with this. I love the swim up room option and the rates are right where I need them to be. I am heart broken right now and my husband pulled up the same thing. Can anyone shed some insight?

So I am thinking of our ott bags. Alot of what I planned for the cruise still applies. I am doing a bag with small bags inside with wedding phrases ( not a new idea, but I love it so I am sticking with it )I am having trouble with 2 phrases So Far I have: In Good Times and bad -hairspray -tide to go -sewing kit -room spray In sickness and in health -mini meds kit (tylenol, pepto) -chapstick -sunblock -aloe -mini first aid kit For richer or poorer For the cruise I had a keycard lanyard-no longer applies cruise key cards are tied to your on board account. For as long as we both shall live For cruise I had an outlet slpitter and batteries for the clock I had in good times and bad- no longer applies Any help would be appreciated. It is an all inclusive resort and I want to stay away from spa certs or anything like that. I might be able to drop richer or poorer but, as long as you both shall live is important as we are renewing our vows for our 20th anniversary.
