  4. I’m sure it’s in my contract somewhere, but does anyone know offhand what the alternative location and/or plan is for rain?
  5. Thank you . Yes, we leave on the 7th and our wedding is on the 10th. Cannot wait!!!
  6. The restaurants on-site are included in the all-inclusive. l've read some brides used their resort credits to upgrade to a nicer bottle of wine, but otherwise its all included. I posted the menus for each of them a few days ago. If you want me to send them to you directly let me know and I'll PM you. Stacie
  7. Kat, Yes, I’m paying the day pass for her. She is arriving at noon so we have time to play around with my hair and makeup. I wanted a trial-run with her, but didn’t want to pay the day pass twice so she’s just going to come early so we have plenty of time. I’m not sure where her salon is, but on the day of I didn’t want to have to worry about anything so I’m staying put at the hotel. The $98 in addition to her fee is kind of steep, but she's gotten rave reviews. Stacie
  8. Ahh okay. She seems super sweet and even though her video was in Spanish, I appreciated her sending it to me so I could get an idea of how things go. Nicole spoke really highly of her as have other BP brides. I'll tell ya my review after Aug. 10 .
  9. Me either. I only had to fill out a questionnaire and then paid her via Pay Pal.
  10. My dream ring! Eternity engagement ring with matching eternity band. Six carats total.
  11. Morning Ladies, Does BP translate your marriage certificate/license into English before you leave? I’m pretty sure I’ll need this for filing our certificate with our local circuit court. If anyone has anything to add on filing your marriage certificate I would appreciate it! Thanks, Stacie
  12. For anyone that’s interested, the dinner menus for the restaurants on the Beach Palace property are attached compliments of my wedding planner! Menu Bocelli -BP.pdf Menu Tequila - BP.pdf Menu Wok1 - BP.pdf Menu Wok2 - BP.pdf Menu Wok3- BP.pdf
  13. A great read right after a boring meeting . Thanks girl! Sounds amazing!!! Can't wait to see more pics. If anyone has any dinner menu's for the restaurants, can you please send them to me?
  14. A few last minute questions: 1) I’ve already paid for everything in full; did anyone have any ‘surprises’ when they arrived for their wedding? Any extra costs I should prepare myself for? 2) We upgraded our photo package so we can get pictures while we’re getting ready. What time does Ocean Photo arrive (if you used them)? 3) For dinner, which did you like the most; Italian, Asian or Mexican restaurant on site? I doubt we’ll go off property, but if you have a really good suggestion for a restaurant let me know por favor . 4) Um, what else? Any words of wisdom for me…??? Starting to get crazy excited and crazy nervous!
  15. Thanks girl! I’m flyin off my rocker with excitement J. On phone with Kalena now finalizing all the details; she’s been so amazing!!!
  16. Holy (insert naughty word J ), I’m officially 2 weeks away y’all!
  17. Kat, I booked Tania as well for myself and my step-daughter, both hair+makeup and it was $380/total. Welcome back Nicole!!! Can't wait to hear all about it! I think I'm up next out of the BP Brides; we leave Aug. 7, wedding is Aug. 10. Stacie
  18. With 75 room nights you get unlimited private functions . I was banking on 75 room nights and had paid for the Pure collection (most expensive, but comes with 3 free themed tables) thinking I would get the room nights and unlimited private functions. So when we didn't reach that, I 'downgraded' to the Pearl Shimmer and used the difference in money between the two collections to offset reception cost. I ended up having to pay only $25 more. Yes, cost for reception comes with food/drinks. You can easily do a private reception on a budget if you don't reach 75 nights. Mine is a little more pricey because I wanted reception decor to match exactly like ceremony so I just said the heck with it and decided to have BP do it vs. Zuniga which most women book through for reception decor. Only thing I rented from them is these Lycra column lights I'm obsessed with. Palace Resorts Weddings just pinned tons of ceremony and reception decor photos on Pinterest and I was hooked. What Zuniga (Lily) was proposing I just wasn't in love with. Also, I wanted someone to MC and Dj and not just the iPod thing which is a lot cheaper. One thing that has really helped me is setting a budget and paying for everything as soon as possible. I realize this may not be possible for everyone, but I didn't want to worry about money while we're there and paid for everything soon as I could.
  19. Hi. My wedding is next month and we have 25 guests. We're having a welcome dinner on Friday night at the Italian restaurant (free) and for our cocktail hour, reception day of wedding we're doing and paid for the following: Ceremony - Pearl Shimmer (less $1500 because we used resort credits on this) Cocktail Hour - Guests are just going to sports bar while we take pics for hour or staying on beach to watch us take pics (we only reached 30 room nights) *make 75 room nights your goal! Reception - 7:30-10:30 paid $50/person, $25/person for kids +$900 for 3 themed tables Lighting - Zuniga $400 Music - JSAV $1500 for 3 hours DJ + MC Hope that helps!
