  1. yes they are from Davids bridal, We decided on guava and told them they could choose whatever dress they felt the best in I think with the light blue and ocean, and blue lagoon, that color will stand out and mesh well !! I found fake ones online I'm ordering but not paying a ton for bridemaids bouquets when they will have em for like 30 mins!
  2. I tried posting something and it disappeared so IDK if it'll appear... but as I was saying- I actually booked Stacey a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be more excited. Everyone who has used her in the past seems very satisfied with her work and loved her. She also pays the resort $300 fee so thats nice! I think you made a great decision bc I know I looked long and hard!
  3. girl you are just like me, when I asked bout doing it, everyone was all on board.. but everyone has alot going on and shying away from it... At this rate, it may just be my family.. which is fine, but it is a lady's one day to feel in spot light .. etc and not to mention I really wish more of my close friends could come to share my special day. I almost backed out due to this very reason hon but I'm still having faith some will come through! Best of luck to ya.. cause I feel like I'm hastling my friends- which sux...
  4. Hey My wedding is May 27th, 2013 and I also booked Stacey a week or two ago! I think she is going to be perfect and she pays the $300 resort fee! She seems to get what I was looking for and everyone that has used her seems happy with the results! I am with you 100% on this decision!!!
  5. I was wondering about royal blue myself. I have decided that I'm bringing fake bridesmaids bouquets.. and my bridesmaids decide on coral for their bridemaids dress... the actual color is called guava.. I'm still in awe of how so many of yall are getting so many people at a destination wedding!.... yikes!
  6. I'm also doing waves of love package, not sure what to do with bridesmaids colors??? I was thinking of sticking with a light blue with white bouquets but idk!! Yall bringing fake bouquet then? And what color dresses??
  7. WoW--- I guess I could do that to, I never thought of that! But I can't imagine how much $$ with trip costs and actual fee. HuMM, I may start looking around my area. : Thanks for the suggestions because the Jamaican photographers are charging like $2500-$3000 and most em without prints!! Thats not near what people pay from my town, so I guess I was shocked when I started looking at prices. Thanks for your input.
  8. I would love to hear what everyone is doing for photography. I am having such a hard time with this, because the pictures are what stick around forever! I think its worth the money to spend on quality, but I also have to be able to afford it. I personally am not too impressed with True Colors, the resorts contracted photographers. But, I really don't want to pay a vendor fee either, although I saw where a couple of em took that off their price packages to get your business if vendor fees were applied. Has anyone used True Colors yet, I just feel like other photographers pictures looked more professional and higher quality. Anyone know of reasonable photographers or packages?? Please help!
  9. Haha no one has booked yet with us either but guests don't feel the urgency I don't think!! I agree --- for an all inclusive , we aren't going to do the private reception either, it's soo much $$$ considering we all just want to go eat and party after anyways. I just hate I'll be missing a few traditional things like our first dance etc- my only concern of Not having a reception ... but I'm still excited and can't wait, Jamaica is beautiful! One more question, did u wire money to their Miami bank?
  10. I saw someone mention wiring money to their bank in Miami. I was also told to do the same for the $300 deposit. Has anyone done this???? It makes me nervous too.
  11. ONe quick question, so the lagoon and posiedon.... are those included or is that the 50-70$ per person?? I'm so confused!
  12. Okay, I'm new at forums and totally responded in the wrong place at first! lol... I'm getting married May 27th, 2013, so we will probably pass each other at some point! Have you decided on any details yet? If you're doing a personal reception.. any details?? Thanks, Julia
  13. I'm getting married May 27th, 2013. You have any details set yet?? I'll probably pass ya and never know it! -Julia
  14. I'm doing all the travel and hotel booking with a travel agency. I'm speaking directly to Erika about the wedding details at GPLH.
  15. I am also having a wedding late May, May 27th to be exact. I believe that statement is true, but the free wedding is minimal!!! You will more than likely will want to move up to the packages that cost. That is my understanding.
  16. I just booked my wedding date for May 27th at 4pm at GPLH. I know someone who has been and said it was great. I was looking at Iberostar also in the beginning (like you said cause the beaches), but the suites were out of dates for May. I asked immediate family and they thougth Iberostar Grand was just too much $$. But, I just made my May 27th 2013 date official and I'm pumped. My ladies name is Erika and she has been on top of responding to me. I am doing the Waves of Love at the Gazebo or Atrium. I am going to add on a violin. I was also deciding about a reception or just normal dinner. Can anyone explain to me the add on of the reception dinner if I choose to .. costs etc? I'm getting pumped! Maybe I'll even see some of y'all!
