Hello Ladies, I am sorry if there are two posts from me that say the same things. I cannot see the first one I thought I posted. I was wondering if anyone had any information about reception locations. I am being told that Bar Higuey in not available for our wedding date of May 4th. My finance does not want to have our reception on the beach. I do not want our reception in a banquet hall. I have read previously that someone talked about possibly booking one of the restaurants that have some windows and outdoor seating available for our reception. We are looking to have about 50 people and would like dinner, drinks, and dancing. Would love if anyone knows of any alternate reception locations that you have been told are possible. Hello, I am a bride staying at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe. I am having some problems with getting a reception location that is not indoors in a banquet hall with no windows or view. I have looked at the price list for the Jellyfish but wondering if any brides that have done it would mind giving me a ballpark estimate on how much the wedding and reception cost with food, dancing, and a DJ. I am looking to have around 50 guests. I know how things add up so I was just wondering where I should be thinking as far a budget. Thanks!

Good Afternoon Ladies, I am planning a wedding May 4th, 2013 at Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe for about 40-60 people. I was wondering if anyone has heard of any other locations for a reception besides the beach, banquet hall, and Bar Higuey. As they are not allowing me to reserve Bar Higuey due to it not being available I am struggling to be happy with a reception location. My fiance really does not want it on the beach and feels very strong about that and I can see his point with sand and wind and such. However, I REALLY don't want it in a banquet hall with no windows or view of the outside, I mean we are going to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I did read a while back that someone was talking about possibly being able to reserve one of the restaurants that had some outdoor seating. Does anyone know that if they allow this. Any information would be great. Congrats to you all!
