  1. In my experience Anel has been more responsive Mon-Wed since these days are not as busy with weddings. My travel agent has been sending my questions to her directly and tries to give her a deadline since my wedding planning has been contingent on her responses. She has really been pretty quick getting back to me except very recently I haven't heard anything so she must be super busy. Don't worry it will all be worth it and she always gives me the answers I want! Stick with it

It's mostly established couples that they target (ones with money), so single guests will likely not be bothered. They try and get you in by offering a free massage, or other 'amazing' offers. Ignore them! Thanks DinaQtobe - a fellow Nov 2013 bride! I think that's the best plan, I'll probably tell my guests "just say no!" lol
  3. Such a helpful thread! Saved me soo much time as I'm making my list now. Thanks ladies!

  5. Hello brides! For some reason I decided to look at reviews of the resort today to find out some tips for our guests to put in welcome letter/brochure and I wish I didn't...a lot of people are complaining you get pushed into listening to a sales presentation/time share pitch upon checking in at the resort. Did any of your guests have this happen? I'm thinking I should warn our guests but don't want to scare anyone! Also how did you find the drinks at the resort? Are they served in small plastic cups at the pool bar? Still deciding on whether to include mugs or stadium cups in our welcome bags. Thank you in advance!
  6. thank you! will think about going to Costco or Walmart since I heard there may be one near Cancun which is closer to my resort.. for those of you looking at Vistaprint, just happened to go on there today and everything is 50% and free shipping over $50
  7. Love this thread! It has been soo helpful! Sorry if this is a repeat question but I've been searching the thread and can't find a clear answer. Those that put bottled water in your OOT bags, how did you get it to your destination? Did you ship it? Buy it there? Specifically someplace like Mexico I have noo idea what the best way is to include this in my OOT bags - any ideas??

  10. Anyone that used the violinist or guitarist during your ceremony, how did you like it?? Did you have a choice of songs to pick from?
  11. Congrats to you as well! Good luck in your planning
  12. I love this idea of using silk flowers! I am already spending the money on outside photographer and DJ and honestly the flowers are the least of my worries but I know I need something! I was just worried about getting the silk flowers there without damaging them..do you have a plan for that yet?
  13. Did those that booked an outside DJ also have them do their music for the ceremony? How did this work out? Did you have to pay extra? I'm not sure what the resort options are for ceremony and I''m too impatient to wait for a response...lol thanks!
  14. I planned to use DJ Doremixx as well for my wedding in Nov 2013 just based on the reviews on here alone. I know it's really early but I will be reaching out to him soon to make sure he is available. I really haven't heard of any other DJ recommendations besides him so I'm curious too..
  15. The following album from Moments that Matter photography has a good picture of the lanterns on the Tequila terrace. I am planning to have these as well. I was provided this link by the vendor on my recent "Newbie" post https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150401259709487.372689.18683524486&type=3&utm_source=sendgrid.com&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=website
  16. Hi everyone! I just recently sent in my paperwork to reserve our date in November 2013 at the Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun! I have been reseaching resorts for just over 3 months already and feel SO relieved to have made a decision on the location...but clearly the worries are not over! I hope to continue to learn more about brides' experiences and get helpful tips as the planning continues - this really is THE best resource out there Thanks to all of you!!
  17. Hi Poohbear, I am hoping to book the Now Sapphire in just a few days for my wedding in November 2013 and would love to see some pictures and hear about your experience!!
