  1. For any of your brides who have already been married at the resort, how long does the ceremony usually last from beginning to end? Including your bridal party walking down teh ailse?
  2. Are any of you ladies out there considering fireworks for your wedding reception. I wanted the "fountain" fireworks to be placed on all (4) corners of the dance floor when me and my fiance have our first dance. I'm just not sure if there allowed on the beach and if it's even worth it. I was also considering sparklers if the cost was too much.

  4. How did the rehearsal dinner work? Did your wedding planner actually allow you guys to rehearse the ceremony and then have a dinner after wards? What restaurant was the rehearsal dinner at? How much was the rehearsal dinner per person? I also was considering having candles on the tables at my reception. Is it too windy for candles or will they hold up fine?
  5. Hey ladies! I had a question for all the brides who have already been married at the dreams resort. Did you take your wedding dress as a carry-on with you on the plane? Or did you pack it in your suitcase? I'm concerned my dress is too big and heavy and won't be allowed as a carry-on. What airline did you guys fly on? I'm flying on United. Thanks!

  7. Sorry just realized all my mispelled words. For your reception dinner how did you determine when you and your husband would have your first dance, bouquet toss, cake cutting etc. Did you also have a cocktail hour?

  13. I contacted Del Sol and although their work is beautiful they were very expensive in my opinion. It all depends on what you want to splurge on. I decided to go with Juan Navarro. I absolutely LOVE LOVE his work and he is very reasonably priced.

  17. Hello Ladies, I'm getting married at the Dreams Cancun Resort on May 31st 2013. I've had my guest confirmed then I originally planned so I was thinking of eliminating the cocktail hour to cover the cost of the additional guest. The only dilemma is that I was planning on taking my pictures while my guest were enjoying cocktail hour. If I eliminate it, what would my guests be doing? Have any of you ladies came across this problem? Do you have any advice?
  18. Thank you! It's a work in progress and i will be posting more as I go along and get closer to my date.
  19. Hello Ladies! As my wedding day gets closer and closer (4 months away) I've decided to start writing my wedding thread to help all the other brides out there. This website has been such a valuable resource for me and I wanted to share all my wedding plans and details. DREAMS CANCUN RESORT & SPA After many weeks of research, I decided on the Dreams Cancun Resort for a few reasons. 1.) The resort allowed CHILDREN! I have a 4 year old daughter and it was very important to me that she attend my wedding. I was so surprised that many of the beautiful resorts in Cancun were ADULTS ONLY and had very many restrictions. 2.) VALUE - The Dreams Resort had far more value than any other resort. Their wedding packages were very reasonable in price which has allowed me to splurge on other parts of the wedding (OT bags, favors, decorations etc.) 3.) LOCATION - The resort is right in the heart of the hotel zone. It's near shopping on all of Cancun's night life. 4.) The wedding gazebo - honesty it's just very breath taking ***Only compliant about the resort so far is communication. I've been told by other brides that it's very common not to hear back from your wedding coordinator (Claudia) until a week before the wedding*** SAVE THE DATES I sent my save the dates out about 11 months in advance. I wanted them to resemble a boarding pass. Sending my wedding invites out now 4 months in advance to get a final count of who is coming
