We are bringing A TON of decor!  I'm bringing tons of DIY pom pom garlands, lanterns, backdrops, some centerpiece stuff, and a couple of signs, amongst other things. I'm a designer so I have a very specific vision, and I've gotta make it happen!

MissBee,  Sorry just now seeing your post! I went with Menu I and my guests loved it, everything was so good. I do like a bit of spice to my food so Mayte was able to accommodate that, including modifying the meals for my diabetic father. As for the open bar option, we went with the non alcoholic beverages. She made signature drinks for the cocktail hour to match our colors. Here are some pics.  Thank you for posting! Love the pops of yellow!

Peaches, we are allowed to use wish lanterns and sparklers but you have to bring your own. You are not allowed to travel with or mail sparklers so I am getting mine from dj mannia. I am bringing wish lanterns in my luggage.

What colors are you girls planning on going with? We are using navy and fuschia.

The brand of the sandals is GC Shoes and the style is Ilicia. They were under fifty bucks!

and i was thinking of doing menu 4 with the chef's pasta for our dinner. it's pricey though, so i was also considering menu 2.

Not sure which hors I am going with yet.  The mini caprese, sliders, bacon wrapped shrimp, and chicken skewers all sounded good to me though!

Thank you so much for posting this review Lindsay! Everything looks beautiful! One quick question--- what do you mean the cigar rollers were selling cigars? Aren't the cigars they roll included in the price you pay for having them there?

Mine is May 11! With less than 4 months to go I have increase my exercise regime as well! I can't believe it's almost here!!!

In your opinion, which would be the best restaurant to host a welcome dinner? I was thinking maybe bana?
 

Are you going to run a tab during cocktail hour and dinner so that if someone orders a mixed drink not included on the cocktail hour open bar menu or the dinner open bar menu, they will still be able to order it? Or will guests be told that those drinks are not available? That was my only concern with doing it that way....

I believe the price increase went into effect in nov 2012, so you may have gotten updated pricing when you booked. I confirmed in june 2012 and I was given the 2009 price list.

i was also wondering- when tipping Mayte, is that tip for the whole JF Staff, or should there be one tip for her and another for the waiters/bartenders? does anyone know how many staff members there are?
