    Things got real in my wedding world this weekend, I had my mini-bachelorette party and my shower...My friends and family are amazing and I am completely overwhelmed by the generosity and love from everyone (and my house looks like disaster of boxes, gifts and goodies everywhere, oy vey)

    Is anyone wearing any non- traditional jewlery? My dress is silk, sweetheart neck A-line win a ruffle down one side and pockets. I'm a pretty relaxed (aka not fancy) person and can't really imagine wearing pearls and jewels. I'm kind of thinking some sort of stacked bracelet set in fuschia with some fun colorful earrings. I can't decide if I need to wear a necklace or not (I'm thinking not depending on the earrings) Thoughts?

    I had a minor moment of terror about what I still need to get done when my computer stopped working (and my FI doesn't have Windows on his, so annoying) so instead of doing "things" this weekend I made a comprehensive list, broken down into OOT Bags, Ceremony, Reception and Others. I listed everything that I could think of with in each category, what is already completed, what still needs to be completed and what needs to still be bought. As I type this out I think I need to add another category, Attire. What led to my little freak out was that I looked at a calendar and saw that between now and when we leave we only have 2-3 free weekends to get stuff done which is crazy! My sister flies in from San Diego this week, I have a few days off and plan to complete a lot on my list with my sisters and mom and have my shower on Sunday. Also going out for dinner with a bunch of my friends on Friday for a mini-bach party since my sister is home (some of my friends are throwing me something else in early June too). I think there are about 80 more days until I leave woohoo!!!!

    We're not getting married until 6/27 but its the day before my father's birthday, yay for fathers!

    I think I might be done ordering for our OOT bags after a bit of a spending spree online tonight ordering the sunglasses, koozies and decks of playing cards for the bags. I also ordered the template for our menus and have been looking for shoes online. I had ordered a pair but didn't like them so sent them back. Now lets hope I make some money this weekend, I'm on call all weekend, hence the online shopping on Friday night:)

    The prices for one color is $18 per dozen. Or you can order multiple colors but the minimum order is 100 glasses, with at least 24 of each color ordered. If you order them that way they are 1.95 per pair.

    Not sure if you noticed but you can order them by 100 or you can order them by the dozen. I'm ordering them by the dozen (7) of the same color. They really are the best price from what I've found. I agreed that they are a but expensive, especially since I need so many of them but honestly I'd rather fun things like this then flowers for centerpieces

    I spent a lot of today trying to find what I was looking for and found them! I guess Neon Sunglasses weren't exactly what I was looking for, I was looking for colored wayfarers. We have about 70 people coming (yikes!!) and are going to order them from this place. They definitely have the most reasonable prices I've found http://www.shadesoffun.com/02/FC01.html Our colors are navy and pink but FI isn't digging the pink glasses. I don't love the navy and don't think they'll pop in a group photo like other colors so we're going with the Carolina Blue color. I may find myself and my girls pink ones for fun but we'll see.

    I'd love to do a group picture with everyone in fun colored sunglasses but am having a hard time finding them in bulk for a reasonable price. Has anyone else included sunglasses in their OOT bags and if so where did you get them? I've checked Oriental Trading but they don't really have what I'm looking for

    I bought my girls (my two sisters) canvas beach bags from etsy and am getting them their jewlery. Then yesterday I was at TJMaxx and found clutches that are perfect (and match the beach bags so they're getting those too! I'm probably going to throw in a few more extras into their beach bag like towels, etc but they're my sisters and they totally deserve it all!

    Elisa's, those are the same pics I was sent for the Riu Palace Mexico and i think theyre very dated!! I then sent my WC three different pictures of bouquets I like, two of which had a bunch of stargazerr lilies and pinks, the other had flowers that I love like dalias and peonies. I asked for pricing on all three and what I got back "the first two pictures look like the ones our florist does so will be included at no extra cost" Ummmm I'm pretty sure I sent three pictures!! Communication fail again! Another big fail for me was when I asked for pricing to rent vases of varying heights similar to those in past pictures of centerpieces with rocks, flower and floating candle. Three times now I've been quoted for the entire set (including rocks flower and candle). Needless to say ill be bringing down my own centerpieces now!

    I literally just hung up the phone with my mom and told her that I'm done thinking about centerpieces and we'll figure them out when we're down there and if we can't we can't. There's a walmart down the street from the hotel and if I can't find anything I'm over it. I refuse to get stressed about stupid things like centerpieces!! I want this to be a vacation just as much as everyone else does!

    Annoyed! I've been communicating with our WC trying to find out the price for using vases from the florist for our centerpieces. She's come back to me with a quote of $36 which includes the use of rocks, flowers and candles...twice now after explaining that I only want the vases, not the rest of the stuff. Sometimes communication is so difficult!

    You should check out ebay for cheap first aid kits. I got a lot of 24 of them for about a dollar a piece. I had started to get a few at dollar tree but then couldn't find as many as I needed but then haven't been able to find anymore at the stores around me. I actually think I misscounted how many I need and will need to order a few more but at about a buck a piece it's not so bad. Good Luck!

    I had my sister run to ikea today and she bought my bags in navy and pink! One more thing crossed off my list! Actually more then one, my first aid kits I ordered from eBay and the Chapstick I ordered from bulk apopthacary were delivered today too!

    I just bought similar starfish this week to hang on my raffia fans for the ceremony. I'm wrapping navy blue ribbon around the handles and am thinking about spray painting the stars...

I'm going to try them on and see what happens but it may be back to the drawing board. I really wanted a pop of color under my dress but realistically maybe I'm just more of a neutral girl.     Just in case anyone else is wondering about the lable size, Avery 5264 works for the small first aid kits. Thanks again Dazeydoll!
