  1. Yep! There is a $45 and a $75 option. You get plenty for the $45 option!
  2. Hi! I also wanted to suggest that you ask Nina about the buffet style dinners instead. The sit down dinner limits you to choosing ONE (two if you are lucky) meal, two appetizers and one (or two?) desserts for everyone to have (so if someone doesn't eat beef and you choose that option, looks like that person won't be eating meat at your wedding). The buffet style dinner gives you more bang for your buck. I had the $45 buffet style dinner and my guests (and my groom and I) loved it all! They had fish, a carving station of beef tenderloin (if I remember correctly) salads, fruits, all types of sides and all types of desserts in addition to wedding cake! I wish I could go back and eat that food again! The ladies in the spa did wonders on my, my mother's and bridesmaids makeup. My hair came out beautiful and my mani/pedi was nice! (I sprung for a gel manicure!) I think it would be worth pampering yourself for sure! MrsPWilson...be sure you know about the set up fees for bringing your own decor. I didn't bring my own decorations b/c I wasn't planning on having enough to justify the apx $150 set up fee (I was told that they wouldn't allow anyone but staff set anything up). I also used their photographer and I love my photos. They are not going to be those super artsy photos that some photographers can capture, but they are beautiful nonetheless. Fabian has a sort of an artistic eye and did great things like silhouette shots, shots where he focused in on us and sort of blurred the scenery, in a nice way and black and white shots.
  3. I am BACK after a WONDERFUL week and wedding at Sandals Negril!! I have been writing my review in microsoft word for a week now trying to describe exactly how I felt to post all over the internet. In short, I now understand why people call this place their home. My now husband (!!!) and I felt at home there and have already planned to go back. The resort was the perfect mix of relaxing (for him) and party (for me). The staff is OUTSTANDING. I was so happy that our wedding day was set toward the end of our honeymoon b/c some of our favorite staff actually popped by to see the ceremony and stayed for a group shot with us! Giselle the wedding coordinator is awesome. She will see your vision based on all of the notes you've emailed back and forth with the initial wedding coordinator (mine was Nina). The day of the wedding, mother nature decided to send us rain, from 2pm to 10pm! Ceremony was to begin at 5pm and the staff tried to wait it out as long as they could, hoping for the sun to come through. They ended up setting up in the gazebo and our reception was moved to another location, which you'd never know that it was a last minute change. It was beautiful! Also, we did end up using the Sandals photographer and we are very happy with our album! Fabian and Ira shot our wedding and we had so much fun getting to know Fabian throughout our stay. Yes, the photographers that shoot the weddings are the photographers that roam the site snapping shots of you. Giselle will discuss the vision you have for your photos (ie: artsy type photos, etc) and suggest the right person for you. Fabian has a good eye and caught some AMAZING shots from getting ready, to the ceremony through to the reception! Jemmi Lee is the only female photographer. Since she is new to the property, they don't have her do weddings but my husband and I did a sunset photo shoot with her and the photos all came out spectacular. I am a bit wary of sharing snap shots, but if you ask, I will try and find some shots that I am comfortable with sharing. I would be willing to answer any questions, we truly had an amazing experience at Sandals Negril and our wedding will always be memorable. I can't stop going through my pictures! (They give you the CDs right there. I am waiting on them to send me the link to my album, which came with the photo package we purchased. Once I give the okay, they will mail us a printed album and 2 smaller ones which we plan on gifting to our mothers!) Lots of luck to future Sandals Negril brides!! You've made the right choice for your wedding and honeymoon!!
  4. I am in the process of trying to find a photographer. I saw there were open dates for the resort directly through Sandals (some reason my TA has all rooms as sold out). If it doesn't work out I will use their photographer (well, I guess I have no choice to unless I have a specific guest take photos). I wish there were more reviews about them. I guess many brides bring their own.
  5. ugh, i was replying to a different post...just figured out how to "quote" it so it won't seem like i am coming from left field, lol! sorry!!
  6. these are amazing photos! i hope my photographer at sandals can capture great shots like this...everything about them is great, including the colors in the background!
  7. I hope you have a good experience! I was at one time wary about it, but speaking with her a week ago to finalize the details (which I still need to fine tune, but we are getting there) made me feel so good about choosing Sandals. The only issue I have is that they will not send me the portfolio's of any of their photographers which makes little sense. I am apprehensive of using their photographer and hope the photos will be great; that is one thing they need to change, we should be able to see that beforehand!
  8. Hi! I am getting married in 2.5 months at Sandals Negril on Feb 23 2013!! So excited!! I am putting all of my trust on the WC's (both in FL and at the resort) and trusting that they know what they are doing and will listen to what I wish to have and try their best to make it happen. I was hoping to bring my own photographer but the resort sold out and they only allow it if that person is staying at the resort for at least 2 or 3 nights (can't remember exactly how many nights) so I am going to use a resort photographer. I am sure everything will turn out great and more importantly I cannot wait to be married to my honey! I have been working with Nina via email and phone. We will finalize ceremony and reception details next week! She is great and responds promplty to all emails and questions I ask! Even on a Saturday! Of course I was trying to finalize lots of details months ago, but she told me not to worry and that certain things are to be taken care of as we get closer. One reason I chose to have a Destination Wedding was to limit stress so when she said not to worry, I didn't! and haven't ever since, lol! I am enjoying Fiance time and shopping for the wedding! Hope you all are feeling good about choosing this resort. I am sure all of our days will be beautiful and meaningful!
