  1. BeaBride, Congrats on the wedding! Did you pack and take these items with you, or ship them? Thanks
  2. I am planning to bring some tea lights for the tables...they are just so expensive on all the extras. I don't want to be cheap, but its all adding up quickly!
  3. I am trying to figure out what lighting to have at my reception and am shocked at the prices! 10 lanterns will cost almost $300! I think I may bring my own at that cost.
  4. TulumBride 2013 - yes its closed permently. Bride81 - 1am. Sorry, didn't even notice that typo!
  5. I e-mailed them last month and asked about it closing. She told me that iit already closed and that the Sugar Reef bar is open until 1pm and either has live music or 'bar' music everynight (not sure what their definiton of bar music is).
  6. Hi everyone, I am having the symbolic ceremony next May and we have selected the Ultimate Wedding Package. I have seen several pictures with the sand ceremony, but the paperwork doesn't mention it. Does anyone know if that is included or if it is one of the extras that they will charge for and if they provide the sand in your colors? Thanks
  7. Me too!! I really don't want to pay for a DJ, but was hoping the disco would be a great place to take the party. I hope they open it up somewhere else. THanks for the info - please us all know if you find out any more details.
  8. I understand what you mean - at first it seems like a GREAT deal. Then all of these extras start popping up. I don't want to spend my day worrying about decorations, but I also don't want to spend a fortune paying someone else to do it!!
  9. I am also bringing my own chair sashes and wanted to avoid the extra costs of having the resort tie them on the chairs. Have they told you how early you will be able to access the chairs for set up? I am curious how that works if they have other weddings the same day.
  10. I have not been there yet - we are moving there for our honeymoon after our guests leave. I have 2 friends that have been there and they have both gone on and on about the service and how beautiful it is. I can't wait to check it out myself!
  11. Hi! I am getting married at Dreams Tulum on May 25, 2013. I have booked the Ultimate package but am debating on the Love package so that I can spend a little more on the photographer. Does anyone have any suggestions for a DJ? I don't want to break the back, but am really worried about the sound, especially at the reception. Thanks!
  12. Sorry for the delayed response....here is where I found mine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/25PCS-Organza-Chair-Sashes-Bow-Wedding-Cover-Banquet?item=400205776264&cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D1%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D147461478886725486
  13. My resort (Dreams) is $6/sash I bought some on ebay - found the link on here - and got 50 for $15. The colors are perfect and they got here fast. I may have to run an iron over them once i get there, but just could not imagine spending $6 a piece to rent them!
  14. Hi ladies! I am planning on taking some of my own decorations. But I am worried about having to take a ton of suitcases. Does anyone have any feedback on shipping stuff to the resort ahead of time? I have read both positive and negative feedback and was curious what others have heard/thought.
  15. Thanks for the info on the welcome dinner. And we ended up changing our date to May 25 - so now I think I'm all alone on that date But my FI wanted to use the holiday so that travelers could have an extra day with out having to take vacation from work. I gave in on that one! But I am very excited! I feel like I am far behind - we got engaged 3 weeks ago, so I don't have much done.
  16. Oops! Didn't mean to post the same question twice.
  17. Hi! We are planning a May 18, 2013 at Dreams Tulum. I see that many people are having welcome receptions/dinners. How are you doing that at an all-inclusive? Are you making reservations at one of the restaurants or going through the WC?
