  1. I have this stunning Maggie Sottero Marie Capri wedding gown for sale. I got it brand new and wore only one time for the wedding, it was thoroughly cleaned (I hand washed it, it is actually better than dry cleaning for taffeta). I checked for any spots and couldn't find any. It's as good as new. It can fit a range of sizes due to the corset design. It has a beautiful cream color, with lots of embellishments. It also has a train that can be tied up. I received so many compliments on this dress. The original price of this dress was $1500! Asking only $200 I'll ship with a garment bag, the total weight is dress+garment bag 10lb (in case if you are going to travel with it) It was hemmed for my height 5'6" plus 4.25" heel (I'm selling shoes as well) I included professional photos taken at my wedding and photos of the dress taken in natural light in my room. I listed it on ebay here is a link to the listing, but I can also sell through paypal. Message me if you are interested. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121478174800?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  2. Hi Emme, Alan gave me all shots he did. I don't remember how many but its a lot. We didn't even use them all for our album. He uploads all his photos to password protected page on his website and sends beautifully decorated box with CD. No album which was fine with me because I like to make my own albums. And no, I didn't have to pay anything extra, Alan gave me all shots at no additional cost. I also didn't want them to be edited since I am graphic designer and can do my own edits. Sorry you are having problems. Sandals photographers stroke me as highly unprofessional. Pictures we took with our regular camera came out better than their.

I'm also really glad I was reading on this website, b/c I was under the impression the partner photographers were their photographers. Thanks so much Hello there, congratulation and good luck with Sandals I had hard time with my WC as well, you have to be very proactive with them, I usually called the main line and told them I need to leave urgent message to Chloe and that they make sure she got it, or I would ask question directly whoever responded. She was not good with responding emails or voicemails unless I did all that. I was allowed to have a buffet and I only had 8 people. Honestly their wedding buffet sucked comparing to what they had for regular buffets for lunch or breakfast, maybe regular menu would be better, but they don't allow choosing different entrees so basically everyone gets the same food irregardless if they like it or not, buffet at least gave an option, now I think I should've done reception somewhere outside with more options and longer reception time. Partner photographers are photographers allowed on their property. They are not their, you will have the deal with them directly and sign contract with them not with Sandals. Sandals does not give any guarantees other than they allow them on their property. Their photographers are Snap shots and their quality is acceptable but not the best, with them you don't have to get a package you can purchase photos $20/per photo. I'll send you my website address in private message so you can look at the ceremony and photos. Hope this helps
  4. Thank you ladies for your interest, the bag was sold. There are similar bags on amazon and ebay and they are very helpful
  5. Once it's folded it's 22" wide and 21" long. I measured it empty so thickness will depend on your clothes

Thanks, Megan Hi Megan, my DH carried it on his shoulder and we stuffed it on the plane in carry on, I did not trust anyone with my wedding attire, I also packed my jewelry and shoes in there. This one is 66" my dress was huge, here is exactly the same model as mine http://www.weddingshoppeinc.com/pr/Maggie-Sottero-Capri-Marie/7019, I had it in white garment bag and on a hanger. This bag folds in 3 and it has padded rollers so there is no crease when stuff is folded, when we came to Jamaica none of the garments were wrinkled, I was surprised because I was prepared to steam. My husbands suit was in perfect condition so all other the dresses and suits. Unless the material is super easy to wrinkle it should stay the way you placed it in. It was great that it folded because US Airways would not let me hang it anywhere, If I brought just garment bags it would be a disaster.

  10. We had to get $150 p/p. Our wedding was at 4pm so we had to get all day pass and it included 3 hr reception and cocktail. Regular day pass is $75 pp. And as I said reception followed right after the ceremony which made us rush through the photos and reception and both children had to leave immediately after reception ended with both adults supervising them even though we paid full day passes. To me having a reception at Sandals wasn't worth the money. The total price of reception for 8 people was around 3000, I feel like we could get a much better deal if we went off property.
  11. Honestly, now that I had wedding there, I wouldn't do wedding at Sandals, I would choose smaller and more flexible resort for just the wedding and Sandals for honeymoon. BB wedding is free, but you'll end up paying for addons and if your guests are off property, it's very costly, you wouldn't ask guests pay for their own guest pass.
  12. They partnered with several photgraphers, you have to click on photography partners http://www.sandals.com/weddingmoons/weddings/wedding-photographers.cfm You can call Sandals directly and ask for prices for each, they won't allow anyone else on the property though. The best way to do it if you still want to get married at Sandals to get one of the partner photogs, have them take pics of the ceremony and then go off property to shoot and have reception later after all pics are taken. We had to rush our reception because of the pictures and we didn't have time to leave the property, so all our pics are kind of in the same area. Also, my personal advice, have someone do the video for you, or get video package from Sandals, we are very sorry now we didn't and our camera wasn't charged and no one checked it before the ceremony. We have small video shot by my mom and it brings all the memories much better than photos.
  13. I booked Alan Smith and just received my pictures, they are beautiful. However we had photosession with on site photogs and didn't like it. We picked only 2 pictures after 30 mins photosession. If you'd like samples of mine I can email privately. AS was $3100, 4hrs and we received around 700 shots.
  14. Hello ladies, I just got back from Sandals Negril and while the memories are fresh I'd like to let report about my experience and I hope it will helps. The trip from Montego Bay to Sandals is not bad, we aited at the Sandals club airport section for a about 5 mins, we just used the bathroom and the driver was ready to go, they took our bags to the bus. We gave $5 tip to both the guy who carried luggage and the bus driver. Sandals is a really nice resort and we had a total blast staying there. They have great program for every evening, food is great and drinks are pouring. Staff is incredible nice and accommodating. However I would not call it a 5 start resort, 4 is the most. We stayed at the Beachfront Concierge room. We didn't use concierge service, except for the drinks in the mini bar, so if you want a downgraded room option, you won't loose too much. Make sure to reserve your wedding and honeymoon breakfast upon arrival, same with your wedding dinner, as well as your Italian and Japanese restaurants, those book quick and we didn't get a chance to get to Japanese. We liked Italian and Barefoot the most (Barefoot didn't need reservation), also the french in the main area was pretty good. They do tours around the hotel, make sure to take one upon arrival, we took 2 days later and didn't know that spa had sauna and steaming room with he shower free to use and where their gym was as well as where to sign up for water sports. Excursions: Booze boat - Kool Kitty - you drink everything you want and go around Negril on the boat, they make a stop at Margaritaville or Ricks Cafe, depending on weather condition and you get to dive off the boat. While fun - not worth $80 p/p Zip line Canopy- much better, instructors are comedians and make you laugh the whole trip, it is scary at first but very fun later, make sure to wear long pants and long sleeve and tons of bug spray, get the strongest one - bugs are vicious and will eat you alive. Don't fall for the bug spray they sell you there for $6-it doesn't work! Now about the wedding. Locations: Most beautiful gazebos are close to the beach, and even though they put signs everywhere "Wedding in Progress" everybody stares. We witnessed 2 weddings and everyone on the beach was staring. Both gazebos are close to each other and approximately in the same area. The same applies to the beach area, you are surrounded by people on the beach and water sports. We decided to go with more private Garden gazebo. - it is surrounded by the trees and is very private, however it is very small! Our wedding party was only 6 guests, so they fit fine, but if you have a bigger party, it will be very crowded. There is almost no room outside of the gazebo, it's bushes followed by the mini bridge to the lawn area where they set up reception, law is all grass, so if there will be rain this day they will switch you to the game room, which is covered area at the Piano bar, this is what happened to us. Honestly, I didn't like any of the locations, they do look pretty in the pictures but they don't give you that special feeling. They start setting up the location around 3-4 hours prior, so you will have a chance to check on it and make corrections if you need any or practice. Cake: we had BB white rum fruit cake, they let us taste it during the first meeting with WC. At the reception they will leave the top layer to take home and they cut the rest for the guests and serve as a desert. Yes, you can bring it through the customs, no problem. They will put it in a white box and tape it for you and it didn't spoil. Wedding team: They were great and did everything we asked. Shermaine was our on site wedding coordinator - she is responsible for planning and decoration and Gawayne was our wedding captain - he is responsible for the reception. We brought custom made cake topper, fans, wishing well with cards, dry freeze flower petals, flower petal cones, favors and wishing lanterns. We brought everything the day we arrived and they set everything up exactly how we instructed, so that was great and nothing to worry about. Hair and Make up: Make up: Do not expect anything fancy like airbrushing or make up as make up gurus would do. They work with MAC but it's all standard foundation-blush-eyeliner-shades. You have to be very specific what color do you want and better to show them a picture with the make up. They have no sense of what fits you, I eneded up with yellow-green shades, I'm very fair skinned with grey eyes and it made me look like I had healing bruises above my eyes, I had to tell make up stylist to wipe it off and point her to the colors that would work better, same with lipstick. Basically you have to tell them every move, otherwise you'll end up looking like a fake plastic doll. Honestly you will be better learning how to do it yourself and buying airbrush. Hair: hair was great as long as you bring them a picture and they do several hairstyles during the trial to help you decide, they will put all the hairpieces and veil for you too. Same with mani - pedi, no complaints with that, if you do it the day before the wedding and something will chip off, they'll adjust for free for you. Wedding day: after your hair and make up you will be waiting in your room, while groom with guests wait in the wedding room and later wedding team will take them to the ceremony site. 20 mins before the ceremony wedding coordinator will come to get you at your room and escorts you to the site. The ceremony lasts about 15 minutes, the wedding team tells you exactly what to do, officiant tells you how to hold hands, what to do, what to say, step by step- if you get very nervous - you won't get lost. Officiant made the ceremony really lighthearted and fun, he had great personality. Right after the ceremony we had to go to the game room, because of the rain. Everything was set up and we did our first dance and cake cutting. We chose buffet for the menu and it was better choice then selected menu items. Guests could pick and choose and eat at their own pace. After the dance we left for the pictures. Our photographer was Alan Smith and we had great time working with him. Pictures took us long time and because of that reception felt rushed. We had 3 hr cocktail and reception. The DJ was great addition, he announced everything and played the list of songs we gave him. Gawayne and his team were super professional and made our ceremony real fun, they made everybody get up and dance and even bystanders were having fun just looking at us, no one was bored and he worked closely with the photographer to make sure we had all the pictures taken. After reception Gawayne and his team took us to the beach and helped us to light our wishing lanterns - make sure to bring lighters, if you decide to do that- we only had one for everyone so it slowed the process a bit and they didn't go up at the same time as we intended. Nevertheless it was gorgeous and people came out from bars and restaurants to look at it. As I said the reception felt rushed and since we had kids and all guests stayed off property we had to go off site. We went to Alfreds Ocean Place, little reggae bar down the street by the Grand Pineapple. It was very laid back and relaxed atmosphere with live reggae band, which starts playing at 10 p.m. Overall it was lovely, but the gazebos, rushed reception and make up threw me off a bit. I hope this review helps and if you have any questions please ask.
  15. I was told they can put together 2 rectangular tables, but you still pay for both, we ended up doing this instead of having 2 round tables. Also they allow to bring some decorations at no charge, I'm bringing silk fans, favors, flower petals with flower petals cones and wishing well. I take they only charge if you bring your own table linens, stationary or centerpieces. Some little items are ok. I'll be posting more after we are back in 2 weeks.
  16. I'm booked with Alan Smith, so far he seems very professional, we had Skype chat where we discussed all details. I will post a review when we get back. He is definitely better than photographers Sandals offer. I requested samples of their photography from WC and they were atrocious, like pictures your guests would take with their cell phone camera, absolutely not worth the package.
  17. Hello ladies, I'm getting married in Sandals Negril, July 5th, at 4pm. All my guests are staying at another places. My reception will be over around 7.30-8.00 pm, what are the good places to continue having fun? We have 2 teenage kids so we need a place where they are allowed and all of us can have fun. Thank you in advance.
  18. I bought 20 cups from http://www.flyboynaturals.com/, they are beautiful and smell so good, however just to let you know 20 cups is too small, I will probably end up using them for petal cones, so people will just throw them on us, other wise it's like half of a 1 gallon plastic bag. It cost me about $50, so I decided not to order more since it's so expensive and we are over the budget. Now I have a question, did anyone have any problems going through Jamaican customs with them? My wedding coordinator was not help at all in finding that out.
  19. We have the ceremony at Sandals, but all the guests are staying at GP, since it's much cheaper, so I don't know the ceremony sites at GP. TBH, I don't really know how Sandals set up looks like, I can only guess from the pictures on their website and some pictures on tripadvisor. WC at Sandals are extremely vague, and photographer said these are not the people who know the location. You should still request pictures from your wedding coordinator and they have to provide you with something.
