Jamie & Beatyea: I can say that since sending out my save the dates i have recieved some serious "hate". I found that its mostly just jealousy. People that aren't happy with thmselves or their lives will try to deflect their unhappiness on other. Beatyea- you looked stunning and very happy in your photos which I'm sure put that chick in a bad mood cause she wan't to be a bride and not a girlfriend. Jamie- don't sweat the issues. Those that want to be there for you will and the ones that don't will just have to drool over your gorgeous photos when you come back and wish they were there! Congrats ladies!

Congrats! We had a civil ceremony 6 months before our "actual" wedding so i know how you feel. Best wishes and i can't wait to see your photos. i'm sure you will look gorgeous!

I'm also wondering how this process works. i am a planning demon when it comes to events and projects ( I do it for a living) and having no control over this process and not getting direct answers drives me into OCD overload! i was planning on not having bridesmaids so i could eliminate that drama (and cost) but now my friends are begging on being bridesmaids! totally overwhelmed.

Congrats Jenni! I'm glad to see someone else is getting married there in August. I was beginning to think i was alone. emailing janessa seems to work well for me. i just keep a running list of questions on my ipad then just email them to her. She was supposed to schedule the "planning session with me but hasn't responded with a date yet. I'm just as nervous about it, but i promised hubby that I wouldn't sweat it until after our vacation in August (we're going to the dominican republic). As far as the sky terrace she said it would be booked 3 months out and a previuos bride told me they do no more than four weddings a day and none at the same time so there shouldn't be a problem. My biggest issue right now is trying to figure out how to qualify for the free events as my travel agent has no clue about it. :confused:

ok, so my TA seems to be totally clueless about the wedding group amenities and the group contract. I'm not sure what to do at this point since i don't have a lot of people RSVP'd. Any suggestions? Can someone tell me how their process went? How far in advance does the group contract need to be done?

What's the difference between the concierge level room and the deluxe ocean view? Hubby says the only difference "real" is the massages and the price. He said who really cares about bath soapsthat we're not going to use and the liqour cabinet. Anyone know if there are any other differences worth paying for?

Does anyone know what the "actual" color of the resorts "pink" roses are? They said I can choose pink but i'm wondering fi they are a soft pink or fushia pink as i have seen a lot of brides here with fushia pink colors. I want to make sure my accent colors will match. I don't want to mix soft pink with fushia pink.

Hubby has vetoed the all white theme so it's either pink or turquoise.

I have purchased one dress so far. This dress will be my "back up" dress in case I don't find a long wedding dress that I like without spending a fortune (still have my dress from the first wedding). This was the dress hubby picked, I will wear it for our welcome cocktail party if I get another dress.

*So far I have my ceremony date booked. *I sent out the save the dates (which also doubled as the RSVP/invitations since guests can RSVP on our website) *I only have 4 people RSVP'd as of now, 2 of which are my parents. But its early, 15 months to go! *I am stuck on what colors to choose. All white, white & pink or white & turquoise. Help!!

Since there are so few recent posts on planning and reviews for the Beach Palace Resort in Cancun, I decided to start one. I will be posting my updates on pics through out my planning process as well as a review and pics after the wedding. It is my hope that this thread will be helpful to other brides as much as the brides on the Moon Palace thread have been a help to me. A little info to start off.... My wedding is August 16, 2013 (yes a long time from now so plenty of time to plan). My hubby and I will be "renewing" our vows, however it's mostly a 2nd wedding as we are from different states and most of our friends were not able to attend the first wedding. We will be celebrating 5 years of marriage! I will try to post as much info as possible and answer any questions that other brides have as well as post any answers I receive from my questions. Is the resort making you pay the vendor fee or day passes? Janessa said I would have to buy day passes for the vendors. I don't believe she is right, doesn't make since to pay the vendor fee when they are the resorts preferred vendors.

Thank you. This has been driving me crazy. I didn't want to pay for the other not so attractive packages yet thought the comp package might be a bit too simple. How much did Zuniga quote you for the drapery?
