  1. We only had one couple that didn't have an email address, so we printed off the invitation and any additional info from the website and mailed it to them. We used Glosite. I would highly recommend it!! We were able to send save the dates and invitations to our guests, had a full website, was able to keep track of all of our guests, and even send messages to all of them. You can either use the designs offered through the company or create your own. We did pay for the service, but it was still much cheaper than paper stationary and it was the easiest way to share updated travel info with our guests.
  2. We did electronic save the dates and invitations. If anyone thought it was rude, they didn't mention it. It saved us a lot of money which we were then able to put towards other aspects of our wedding, like awesome foods and open bar for our guests.
  3. When we sent our deposit back in Feb 2012, we were told the boss would contact us to confirm it was received. We never received confirmation from the boss, but when we followed up with Mayte she confirmed that it was received and apologized that we were not contacted. Like you said, just keep the receipt for wiring the money and you should be fine.
  4. Wow, your photos are amazing!! Love the orange dress and purple hair too. You both looks so happy and in love. Congrats to both of you!
  5. Thanks Katy! By the way, I loved your photos! You and your husband looked amazing and so in love. Congrats to you as well.
  6. Hi My Belle! Congrats on your upcoming wedding. You will LOVE Jellyfish!! You made a great choice. I'll be writing my review for the restaurant soon and posting it in the Jellyfish forum. We chose Dreams because we heard great things about the resort chain in general (my brother in law was going to get married at a Dreams in Los Cabos), and we chose Dreams Palm Beach because it is relatively close to the Jellyfish (15 minute cab ride) and we got a reasonable price for our guests. We ended up really liking Palm Beach because it's a smaller resort, so it was much easier to run into our guests during the day for spending time with them. The rooms do not have outdoor jacuzzis, but to be honest, we only used ours once and that was once all of our guests left. The food in the restaurants is really good, and we loved the Italian restaurant in particular. There were some negatives as well, but overall I'm happy with our choice of resort for our wedding group. Hope that helps a bit! Let me know if there's any other questions I can help with.
  7. ChocoTaco, you look stunning in that dress! Your pictures are gorgeous as well! I'm totally with you on wanting the bring out the dress again. I don't know what to do with mine right now because I'm seriously tempted to put it on for our anniversary and do another trash the dress shoot.
  8. Thank you!! I wish we could take credit for it, but we actually brought very little with us for decor. Just a few signs and our guestbook. Our coordinator, Mayte, took care of everything else. I sent her some inspiration pics and gave her a few key words for how we wanted our wedding to feel. She absolutely nailed it. She even went out of her way to find the teal fabric especially for us.
  9. Hi May ladies! I wasn't super active on this thread for the last few months leading up to the wedding (by that point I was done with planning and ready to start the party, lol), but I just got our photos back from our photographers this weekend. Hiring Katya Nova to document our wedding day was one of the best decisions we made, and looking through the photos was like reliving the day all over again. Here are the blog posts they put together with photos from our wedding and our rock the dress session the morning after: http://www.katyanovablog.com/dreams-palm-beach-jellyfish-wedding-krista-pat/ http://www.katyanovablog.com/sunrise-punta-cana-rock-the-dress-couples-boudoir-krista-pat/
  10. You look beautiful! Those are some really great teaser photos. I can see why you can't wait to see the rest.
  11. You guys look absolutely stunning! Those photos are so beautiful. Congrats on your wedding!
  12. We did cocktail and dinner open bar, then 2 hours open bar of the cheapest option. After that we paid based on consumption. I was worried that the drinks would taste 'cheap' since they were not brands that I knew, but the drinks were great!
  13. My wedding dress was trashed more on my wedding day than the TTD session the next day. By the end of the wedding night I had a big whole ripped in the lace of my dress by my feet and the bottom was muddy from the wet sand. The TTD totally cleaned my dress. The hole is still there sadly.
  14. I PM'd you the spa brochure. Our wedding was amazing! But we got married at the Jellyfish, not at the resort. I did see a few weddings going on at the resort while we were there and they were beautiful, so you won't be disappointed. In regards to the spa, Rosa did my hair and she did a great job. I originally didn't like how much hairspray she put in my hair because I thought it was too stiff, so I tried brushing some of it out. But when we got to the Jellyfish it was so windy that my hair was always in my face, so trust that the spa ladies know what they're doing lol. The resort is really awesome for groups. Because it's a smaller size, we were constantly running into people from our group. It was great! You'll have a blast for sure. We had Katya Nova as our photographer for the wedding day. She was absolutely lovely and all of our guests mentioned how sweet her and Rob were. I would highly recommend her.
  15. We met with Mayte the day before our wedding and it was no problem at all. She has everything under control and will take the time to go over all the little details with you to make sure everything is covered. So meeting with her on Sunday should be fine, but it would be good to double check with her in regards to her availability that day.
  16. Congrats, your wedding is so soon! Our wedding is May 28th! Mayte did just post a message on the Jellyfish restaurant facebook page to say that she knows she's behind but she'll be answering emails on Monday. Hopefully you will get a response then. We are using the invoice we got back in February as more of a guideline since I know we'll be changing things when we meet her the day before. In terms of payment, I've heard that the services need to be paid in cash when you do meet with Mayte before your wedding day, and that the food/drink bill gets paid that day with credit card.
  17. I'll be doing one as a 1st year anniversary gift as well!
  18. Those are some really awesome gifts!! I love the robes especially. Do you mind me asking who the Etsy seller was?

  20. Good call! If I had known they were so big I would have done one per bag. I may have to sell the extras.
  21. I ordered 38 tubes of Aloe (I figured one per person). The box was pretty heavy!! And the tubes are bigger than I was expecting (I thought 150 ml would have been smaller, but I'm horrible at judging these things). Now I'm really worried about bringing all 38 down in a suitcase because of the weight! lol
  22. Awww, that's so great to hear! I'm glad you hear such a great time at your shower.
  23. Hey fellow Londoner! Hope your planning has been going well. The weather here lately has made me even more excited about going away to somewhere warm and sandy, lol.
  24. I guess that's true. Plain paper it is!
  25. I love your letter!! It's so full of great information! I've been trying to write mine up so we can get it out ASAP, but I don't know if I should print it on regular paper and send it that way or try and use fancier material. Pre-Travel Letter PDF.pdf
