  1. I just have to reiterate that I am completely impressed with people who have the time, energy, and (most of all) the talent to make their own invitations! I cannot believe how amazing your invitations truly are! I keep looking at them, imagining if I can emulate them!
  2. For my sister's wedding we saved as much money as possible! We had a friend get our invitations for us. Another friend who was planning on coming to the wedding happens to be a photographer, so he took pictures for us all week for free, and they paid for his trip. Then, he gave them a cd with the pictures on it, so we could have our own printed! That way, we could also have them printed on the thank-you notes for the reception. And, the reception was a small carry-in reception after they got home, where we provided the meat, drinks, and utensils, but everybody carried in a tray per person, AND everybody was satisfied with the food because they brought it!
  3. I would suggest you send out your save the dates a year ahead of time. Make sure the wedding invitations match the save the dates. I have seen the reception with similar themes.
  4. Your diy wedding invitations are beautiful! I do not have a creative bone in my body, so I would design my own invitations and have somebody else make them for me! It is certainly a good feeling to have the accomplishment of finishing your invitations and doing a nice job. Also, you did an excellent job of posting this information and pictures!
  5. "Wish us well as we walk off into the sunset, leaving footprints in the sand. We understand traveling is difficult for a lot of you, so check the website for any details." Here is a rough estimate of what I would suggest for your wedding invitations. Sort and to the point, but I would mention the beach and/or the sand.
